Memberfinal weekend of the season. Devils and Thunder are jockeying for 3rd position. Swarm are cruising to the finals while the Stampede are playing for pride.

MemberGoing to be a good weekend, what are the points as per each outcome? If Thunder or devils win both then its 3rd place for them, if stampede win both can they get to fourth? what happens if thunder devils split? or there is OT? stats guys this is your time to shine! i want to see who is better out of aaron and aston

MemberStampede can get 4th only if Thunder lose both. They would tie for points with Devils but the head to head record favors Devils. A Thunder Devils split sees the finishing order Devils, Thunder, Stampede.
An OT win for Devils and a regulation win for Thunder would see the Devils take 3rd as a result of better goal differential even with a matching head to head record and equal points.

[/quote:1nm0ztzn]Unless the Thunder win their regulation by 2 goals in which case. The Thunders goal difference will be 4, and the Red Devils 3. (according to unofficial table which may or may not be wrong)

MemberI actually didn’t reference the table for goal differential. I forgot about thunders big win on the weekend.

Member13-7 win for devils. Devils up 9-2 after 1. Thunder played better in the 2nd and might have won the period. Devils dominated possession most of the 3rd but let up near the end and Thunder scored a few to make it closer. When thunder can be a 60 minute focussed team, they will be in the finals.

MemberSounds like Thunder had a pretty awful final weekend. Were they running their top guys a lot or did they bring in some guys who hadn’t seen much ice all season?
