Final teams have been posted for the DIHL which starts tonight/tomorrow night:

Good to have three national league players coming in from other centres to play in the competition. 19 current or former national league players which sets the bar pretty high for an SNC competition. We had an excess of goalies as well, which is a good problem to have I guess.

Stars are my pick in the A grade, but Jets look OK as well, depending how Parry goes in net.

B grade there’s a lot more unknowns, but the Penguins have a real ex-Beasts feel to them, so they should be pretty good. Watch out for the Sharks who have all come through from our beginners but some of them won’t be there for long. Richard Craniums are slightly modified from the team that won the Autumn DIHL, but look for them to be in the final.

    Killer Keas beat Sharks  3 – 1
    Bullfrogs beat Penguins 3 – 0
    Richard Craniums beat Ducks 9 – 3

Goal of the night must go to Xavier Wood who deked pretty much the entire Ducks team, then put the puck top shelf on a back hand.
