MemberAlthough still technically the off-season, all the teams are hard at work because the import quota this year has been increased to 7 players from the traditional 5. The level of play of the upcoming season should be very high. Assuming all teams use their quota, it should level the playing field a bit.

MemberWhat gossip is there on the lineups for 2012? I’m kinda out of the loop on what’s been going on.

Memberrumour mills say the south island teams are the only ones who have recruited. Swarm still have polozov so will be similar to last season. Sounds like Admirals will be as well although they have picked up a few players.
Thunder have a full import roster. Saeed is back and they picked up Jerreau Hohaia, which is handy. New coach too in Janos Kaczala. They could challenge for a finals spot this year
Qtown took a big hit when head of statistics hurt his knee doing a triple axel and will not be ready for the start of the season. They have some returning imports in Sommer and Zizian. Should be strong as well as per usual.
Red Devils also are import laden. Kyle Papai is back as is Valery Kovev. New coach with the departure of Janos. A lot of local players have moved away but core is still there with Eaden, Harrop, Speck, Argyle etc. Should be a good team as well.

MemberRed Devils have been talking up their imports as the best thing the league has seen. Some impressive CVs certainly. Swarm again probably the team to beat – quite dominant in the league for several seasons now.

MemberRed Devils are marketing so bums sit in seats
” title=”Wink” />Marketing a little bit more, Swarm lost 3 of 4 to Canterbury last year.

MemberThat would be a great story if you’d beaten them in the final.
Or, y’know, been in the final.
