Hi everyone,
Because of the amount and type of spam we’ve been getting lately I’ve replaced the old forum software (phpBB2) with this fan dangled new fancy gizmo called Simple Machines Forum (SMF).There’s quite a few bugs to sort out, including old avatars not working, permissions being messed up and whole horde of other things, but I’ll hopefully iron those bugs out shortly.
In the mean time, we should ‘hopefully’ be rid of the spam, particularly those rather annoying pornographic ones which have been popping up lately and we also have a few handy extra functions including:

-currently scurrying around like a headless chook fixing everything –To start off, everyone should go to profile (at the top), look and layout preferences, and change the time offset to +17. Don’t use the auto detect, as it returns -17 (bug there Ryan).
That will keep the forum on NZ time for y’all, not EST which is probably where the web server is.
You don’t need to follow Kyle’s advice as I’ve fixed it for everyone. Apart from Kyle who I suspect has just messed his time up.
Ahh, this is much better. I actually think the layout is somewhat tidier too.

Changing for forum over seems to have broken the photos/videos gallery

Something I forgot to mention which some may find useful … you can now access an RSS feed of the forum
” title=”Smiley” />In Firefox, just click the little orange icon thingy on the right hand side of the address bar. I’m not sure about other browsers, but I’m assuming there will be a small orange RSS icon/button somewhere.
With RSS feeds you can have the latest news sent directly to your web browser, usually into a sub-folder inside your bookmarks folder.
