The Sharks won the Stanley Keg in the 4th game of the best of 7 series. Great game lots of good hitting and some sweet goals and saves by both Aaron and Toby! Everyone really enjoyed the series from what I have heard, so thanks to everyone invloved. Bode for organising it!! Jackie and co. in the scoring box, Kyle and Phil and everyone for reffing, and everyone else invloved in some way, everyone did a great job!!
Hard fought game by both teams, with the Sharks proving too strong for the aeroplanes. It makes sense the sharks won i guess, because sharks are mean and have big teeth, whereas jets are pretty tame really, well they probably have angry moments, but this would be extremely rare i would imagine, coz they dont really have feelings like sharks would. But mabye Sharks dont have feelings, we are humans so we wouldnt know unless we were a shark, but that isnt possible, so we will just have to imagine what a shark is feeling, which we can say is anger. Lets not come to conclusions about sharks though. But yea…
Anyway once me and Ryan got the cup home, things really got out of hand fast, as some of u may be able to tell by looking closely at this photo. If this is inappropriate for the webpage, i apologise in advance, but Ryan told me to do it so he should get punished if anyone for this… Actually im not going to put in the photo on this website, it should only be seen by adults: and many children look at this page, so if u want this and are over the age of 18, come approach me or Ryan personally and we can arrange a look mabye.
Peace all,
STIFFAugust 7, 2007 at 1:11 pm #6456battered_and_bruisedMemberWell do they have feelings though? cause technically we were sharks for 4 games and we had many feelings. Anger, frustration, happiness, gitty as a school girlness, horneyness….wait did we though? Some more then others maybe…Oh crap, did I put that in? That’s not right at all. Anywho, we were sharks and had feelings…but if we are getting on the topic of actual real sharks, then yeah they do cause they get hungry and hunger is a feeling and they say if you get bit by a shark to punch it in the nose or the gills. I saw it on the Discovery Channel so it has to be true.
As for the picture, it isn’t bad, see for yourself and make your own mind up. I mean to me it looks like I was just chilling on Stefan’s bed and the Keg suddenly fell over and Stefan was there to catch it and that’s why his face looks like that cause it was a sudden thing and he had a split reaction to save it…or me…most likely the Keg.
August 7, 2007 at 1:51 pm #6457KyleMemberThe love you two have for each other…
It’s kinda the opposite of pure.
Like dirty and possibly illegal in some places in the world.
August 8, 2007 at 6:26 am #6458imported_RyanMemberHey Stefan,
Did Bode ask you to post that rundown of the game above? If so I’ll post it on the Dunedin Premier Series page[/url:gt9hn18g] as well coz that’s where she got me to put the first two.Ryan,
August 8, 2007 at 7:21 am #6459KyleMemberHeh.
No I suspect that’s not the official version.
That’s Stefan after one beer and about 15 ketchup sauce packets from burger king.
August 9, 2007 at 2:46 am #6460KyleMemberBest of 7 becomes… well a couple more games at least.
The series continues next Tuesday apparently.
August 9, 2007 at 12:22 pm #6461battered_and_bruisedMemberWell technically no. We are just playing the remaining 3 games because we already paid the money for them. The Stanley Keg has been won and will not be competed for in the remaining games. The teams might even be mixed around a bit as well. We will see what happens on Tuesday night. Plus there is talk that Blake wants to set up an exhibition game against his Southern Juniors for a warm up game for them before nationals.
August 11, 2007 at 12:40 am #6462JoeMemberCongrats on the win Sharks..
I guess that cup needs engraving (and quite possibly sanitizing as well judging by the pics)Sharks –the fish– don’t have feelings, but that’s because Sharks– the fish- don’t play hockey. Sharks – the team but not The Team- have feelings. Of course they do, you can see that in the picture above. Strong feelings. Strange feelings. Passionate feelings. It’s what makes them winners. Sharks -The Team- need stronger feelings if they plan to drink from The Cup (versus, for example ‘the cup.’)

August 11, 2007 at 2:54 am #6463battered_and_bruisedMemberPoetic joe, very poetic.
August 12, 2007 at 10:18 am #6464rookie19MemberThanks for that joe (with a capital j), that really made my day!! Well… did it though?… of course it did, thats why i said that it made my day earlier in this sentence. But there are options.
And Joseph “Photographer but also outstanding hockey player” Sales, dont worry your name will be engraved on that lovely antique which we call the Stanley Keg!
And remember everyone: hockey cannot be played well by a team of common men, because common men go nowhere, you have to be uncommon. I made that up by myself while I was sitting here.
Peace and godbless Joe’s poetry,
STIFF #19August 12, 2007 at 12:45 pm #6465ChrisMemberI think we should post a new poll asking the hockey community’s opinion on precisely which drugs have inspired Joe and Stefan’s great literary feats.
Weed?
LSD?
Performance Enhancing Steroids?
KFC?!August 12, 2007 at 9:24 pm #6466imported_RyanMemberYou missed out BK.
August 14, 2007 at 1:01 pm #6467KyleMemberSeriously, I think the Jets are cursed. After coming back from 3-1 down, to tie it up at 4-4 to go into extra time, they let in the game-winning goal about a minute in.
Bit of roughing earlier in the game between (I think?) Ryan Wick and Damien Watson. Late in the game we had Ryan O’Keefe reacting to a hit from James van Leeuwen by holding onto his leg, which was quickly followed by some punches and words. Does he go out of his way to pick all the big guys on the other team to take on?
I think Jacques was involved in almost all the Sharks goals, Aaron must be getting really stick of the sight of him by now. Aaron played well with some nice saves to keep his team in the hunt I thought. Zanzee got one, and I think Paavo another? Jets spread it around more, couple of nice goals where they had to work it hard to get it past Toby.
Game was played at a good pace, some good hits and lots of skillful play. Both teams had over two lines, so still lots of keen players for these games to continue, which bodes well for people who are working on that NZIHL team next year.
August 14, 2007 at 8:20 pm #6468battered_and_bruisedMemberYeah it was me and Damien but to tell you the truth I couldn’t be bothered doing anything silly like fight him…Did I just say that? What the hell? But what was this about 2 minutes for cuddling? Common man!!! SHould have been 2 minutes for showing too much love towards Simon lol.

I think Simon wasn’t so much calling for the referee to make a call, as begging for the referee to help him fend off your advances.
