Erewhon Cup second team

    My understanding is that there is a thunder team playing in the Erewhon Cup in Alexander the weekend of the 26th July.
    If that is the case then we need to organise a 2nd team. Usually the old bastards enter a 2nd team but this year most of us old buggers, myself included will play the old timers tournament in Tekapo instead.
    We need to organise a second team
    So far we have Aaron Bryant in goals, Matt Newton, Maybe Kurt, Nigel Dobson, Larry N
    The rules are centre ice contact only.
    The contact really only comes into play in the semis and finals but even then its pretty tame.
    So post up your names if you want to play the likes of Queenstown (Stampede) or the Southern Women.
    We need a team of exactly 10 plus a goalie

    My preference would be for some older players possibly from the thunder. The reason being the weekend is long and pretty social. Keep posting your names up here if youre interested .
    It may be that a third team can be formed but it would have to happen quick because entries have already closed and Dunedin have semi booked in 2 teams to play

    Yea man im probably keen for that!! Do we have room for a 3rd team? Tom and Regan might be able to play then? But no adult beverages mabye? It would be great experience for them to play against some of the IBs.

    Anyone know where we will stay and all that? And approximate cost for the games etc? There will be good enough ice yes?

    Mabye we can all crash on Richie McCutcheons floor in a slightly weird but team-bonding 12-way spoon?

    Too late to put in third team unfortunately……
    People weren’t on to it so they miss out… Alex gave us an extension to Monday and we didn’t hear from anyone else so we just put in two teams

    Well I guess we could but thats only by the airport…. so we are still like 1.5 hours from Alex which is quite a distance really

    If Stefan is out we need an attacking forward so if there is anyone out there who wants to play this weekend drop us a line. Any beasts perhaps?. There may be vacancies on the other team as well but im not sure yet

    The first dunedin team is still suprisingly empty, bode was even talking about playing for us instead of the women. or as well as, not sure
