I see in today’s ODT (31 July) that the Queenstown ice rink is for sale as a going concern: “Turn cold ice into hot business”.

The ad says that the present facilities are “exceptional”, and that it includes “a state-of-the-art Zamboni ice-resurfacing machine”. Maybe they got a new one. The wide angle photo of the rink makes it look colossal.

Wouldn’t be a bad wee investment to make though, and yeah its not bad photography either. Haha

Yeah that’s the concern. Someone who thinks they can make more money using it as an indoor mini-golf and bowling alley or something.

Could be a fairly large turnout for Thunder trial next year then haha… Or maybe Rhys you should suggest to your father about putting some of his artificial ice surface down somewhere in Queenstown… could be an idea??

Yeah that is major concern, that is prime real estate right there….

Hope no one trys to build hotels on it….

I got ten dollars anyone keen to go in on it with me??

Me and you Stefan, we could live in it too, be close to town it would be key.. we should go down to the bank this afternoon
