NHL kicks off again this weekend with Rangers taking on Lightning in Prague, and Penguins taking on Senators in Stockholm. Both games are home/away double-headers. North America kicks off Thursday 9th US time.
People who want to download games or highlights might want to try http://www.cifnation.com.
October 1, 2008 at 4:10 am #9403MichaelMemberI plan to download games, but I’m not exactly sure how I can with this website?
October 1, 2008 at 8:21 pm #9404KyleMemberIf you register for cif-forum, then the boards provide links to a web site 5minsforfighting, which holds the torrent files.
It might be a little tricky to get an invite to a login for 5minsforfighting. See here about how to get it – basically you need to make an introductory post, and jump around the boards and make a couple of real posts. Minor hoops, I remember it being easier than it says here: http://www.cifnation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9632.
Then you’re away. It’s well worth it, the quality is good, and it’s fairly prompt – normally stuff is up within 24 hours of the live game.
October 3, 2008 at 11:12 pm #9405imported_RyanMemberHolding the game in Prague is interesting. So much for the [b:1102jw0h]National[/b:1102jw0h] Hockey League. Perhaps they should change the name?
October 4, 2008 at 12:10 am #9406Azzy77ModeratorSince when has Canada and USA been one country, I think they should have changed the name years ago….
I love North American sports where sometimes two countries compete in a NATIONAL league (ie.NBA, NHL)
But the winner is the WORLD champion (NBA)
Sometimes teams from one country can win the WORLD championship (MLB, NFL)

Rangers knock over Lightning in both games. Sens and Penguins split their series.

I’m going to beat you with my baby seal skin club and then dump your body in a river of maple syrup and let the beavers chew on your dead body. Although I am talking about furs and sugery liquids and beavers, there is nothing at all kinky about the pain you will feel.

October 13, 2008 at 4:54 pm #9416battered_and_bruisedMemberI don’t mean to brag but man it’s good to watch games almost every night of the week here lol…on a side note, the new Hockey Night in Canada theme is…well, not that great. Sorry Vince but it’s just bad. It’s a good thing TSN got it cause I don’t know if any Canadian would actually get used to it.
