    So who’s going to join Keith with his extreme skating idea?

    I assume he’s made the jump out of his synthetic ice stuff, so it would involve wearing ice skates, not inline skates. Here are some pics of his current rink in Albert Town near Wanaka:

    I would also like to be involved. when is a meeting date that would suit? Maybe we could look at getting some kind of funding behind to put a dunedin team together, im sure some of the queenstown boys would be keen to give it a nudge as itsz in their neck of the woods

    Hmmm, yeah good point, im not sure what keiths charges for ice time but hopefully its not to expensive or it may be an issue with distnace people have to travel to? Im sure there are some local sponsors such as FYC automotive or perhaps bush mechnaics taht wou;d be willing to maybe hel with this group

    I know Keith had a transportable rink at one point, so perhaps this new ‘jump’ is transportable too?

    Has anybody heard anything more about this? I was meaning to ask kieth last night but didnt get the chance to talk…… I was meaning to look at it on my way home from central in the weekend but unfortunately didnt get a chance?
    Has anyone though of adding burning hoops to the list of “extreme skating” events as im sure that would raise a crowd and do wonders for not only keiths ice but the sport aswell

    Im keen to see this actually get of the ground and support one of our club members, so im willing to stick my hand up to organise a team and become team co-ordinator

    Can people please post back here if they are keen and some possible dates to go up and try it

    Keith was talking about having burning hoops! how friggin cool would that be? but it would be hilarious when what ever is keeping them burning falls onto the plastic ice, i imagine it would get pretty “extreme” then!

    So im taking it that your keen to be on this tea, blake? Perhaps we could have a extreme skating team demo on the ice before thunder games or possibly perhaps intermission obviously with time allowances, it would certainly be a crowd raiser

    I hope the ambulance is present at these events.  Sounds a bit extreme alright.  I like my knee’s way to much to go off a jump and land on the flat ice surface.
