I wonder what will happen on the weekend between the Thunder and the Swarm. What do you think? If you care to cast your vote and see what people believe.
June 9, 2009 at 2:24 am #11461KyleMemberI’d love to be able to vote otherwise, but I think Swarm will be too strong, they’ve been top two in the league for the past couple of years and they’ve carried what looks like a strong lineup through to this year. That being said, new year, some new people, new goalie – hard to judge, but I hope the team goes well and pushes Swarm hard. Be a good benchmark for how Thunder is going to go for the rest of the season.
Really looking forward to the following weekend on home ice against Canterbury. I hear the linesmen are going to be good.
June 9, 2009 at 2:27 am #11462Defense101MemberGood to hear good to hear. Just remember who won the last game between swarm and thunder ” title=”Smiley” /> Oh and thanks for being man enough to post why you voted for what you did kyle. Some people are too chicken to explain their reasoning they just vote and run.
June 9, 2009 at 2:53 am #11463imported_RyanMemberBut what if I think the score will be 10-0 to the Thunder?
June 9, 2009 at 2:54 am #11464KyleMemberI think last game between Swarm and Thunder were 7-5 and 3-0 to Swarm? Good games apart from one of the Swarm players getting a mangled face. The first one was close, thought that was going to be the first win.
Or do you mean CRD vs Thunder at the end of the season?
Ryan, I think the poll is about the results of the games, not the scores of the games.

[/quote:2po7f9r1]Kyle is right the Swarm did.
Will be interesting though. They were tight last time, a bounce either way and the results could have been very different

[/quote:1po7zcjs]Doh, of course!
June 9, 2009 at 6:39 am #11467vpatrolMemberI’m looking forward to some competitive games however I don’t think you can look past the swarm as two time defending champs. Line up mostly intact and their import is the step brother of our import. I’m told he’s quality. My money is on the swarm but I’m keen for a surprise. It is a new year and I haven’t seen either team in their entirety so anytning can happen!
June 11, 2009 at 10:05 pm #11468ActiveMemberIve always seen the first 2-3 years of the thunder as a stepping stone to becoming competitive as all the other teams are established and strong. That been said im happy to be proved otherwise. Good luck this weekend and go the thunder.

June 12, 2009 at 2:12 am #11472Defense101MemberYeah lots of best of awards and hopefully this year best in team in the NZIHL award!
June 12, 2009 at 2:25 am #11473vpatrolMemberI’d say start smaller and shoot for best team playing against Auckland on the 13th of june. See what happens after that.
