What are the odds going to look like this weekend.
Will Red Devils show they have more depth than one line and crush Swarms hopes of making the finals, or will the swarms desperation to win be to much for the Red Devils play against.
July 7, 2009 at 2:25 am #12276KyleMemberPoll amended to make a bit more sense. I’m picking devils will win a couple of fairly close games.
July 7, 2009 at 3:56 am #12277cattleprodMemberit desperation time for the swarm and to hard to call. either devils will smash them by 4 or 5 both games or the swarm will scrap through just!
it’ll take a solid defensive effort from the swarm who is lacking a little depth there, and avoiding the quick transition that i think the eaden, hyde, ruddle line must do well to produce there scoring chances. although knowing theres plenty of forward depth in the devils, slowing that line down will make a significant difference in the score line.
the swarm will go into it under dogs for sure and a little more game hardened than there opoosition. im thinking that the cockyness (not sure if thats a word) of the devils may be the blunder to help them get the win this weekend. we all know how shit hot some of those canty boys think they are!!!
i love this forum!! go stampede!!
July 7, 2009 at 5:28 am #12278cowgirlMemberI think the Red Devils will win both games easily.

July 11, 2009 at 8:57 am #12286vpatrolMemberWas run time final period (not happy). Ryan Ruddle had 4 goals. Eaden had 1 maybe 2 I think. Jacques had a fight in the 3rd. Refs let it go. Started ok but then he got his shoulder pads and jersey caught up so the other guy pumped a few good shots into him. It was a necessary fight. Ruddle got cross checked after his goal and Jacques did what was expected.
Game started real slow for Devils. Swarm were up 1 nil. Two quick goals nearing the end of the period shifted it a bit. 5 to 2 after 2 periods. It was a good test. Didn’t have Janos, Dan Nicholls or Kyle Papai though. 3 important players.
July 11, 2009 at 9:36 am #12287cattleprodMemberrunning time in the 3rd!! what a F***** joke!!! it should be mandatory to play 60 full minutes!!!! bugger the public session, what if there was 1 goal in the game!! this is a problem!!!! something needs to be done!!!
July 11, 2009 at 10:50 am #12288vpatrolMemberits in the rule book. Happened once and will happen again unless you have ownership who would prefer to sacrfice profit for a longer hockey game.
July 11, 2009 at 11:56 am #12289Defense101MemberLooks like the Devils defense has been “tested” with the obvious result that was expected. We’ll see what happens tomorrow but I imagine it will be much of the same thing. Looks like they beat Botany worse then Stampede did again shows the Devil’s strength.
