Time to get off your hands for the final round robin weekend guys, vote.
August 17, 2009 at 10:57 am #13987KyleMemberBig weekend. I’m going for a split series same as it was in Canterbury.
August 25, 2009 at 12:03 am #13988plod16MemberWith most of the IBs turning out for their respective Nat Leag teams, who is going to win the pre final games between the Devils and Stampede ??
August 25, 2009 at 1:14 am #13989Azzy77ModeratorMost? whose not turning out?
I say split, but if the Stampede can play physical in both their games I think they could take it 2-0.
If Paris is on form, feeding the finisher Eaden, the red devils have the opportunity to win both
August 25, 2009 at 11:16 am #13990kelf6966MemberWill be a great couple of games,
The Stampede line of Speirs, Lee and Glass seemed to have a number over the aussies
in the weekend!I go Stampede 2 – 0

August 28, 2009 at 8:54 am #13993KyleMember3-2 to devils, end of the first.
4-3 to devils end of the second.August 28, 2009 at 10:51 am #13994kelf6966MemberFinal 5 – 3 to Devils, looks like another final in Christchurch, not that it’s a bad thing going by history.
It was a great game, with a few stupid penalities costing the Stampede.
Very entertaining and fast ice hockey from both teams and some good niggle and some damn big hits.Reffing was good and pretty bloody fair, wore orange arm bands tonight so we couldn’t tell where he came from which was cute, that colour looks good on him – he could do to get the hell out of the way though.
Looking forward to tomorrow night!

One hell of a game, some great play again from both teams, so big hits and some of the best fighting i have seen in the nzihl – crowd loved it
Bit disappointing not to see eadan on form, and not a good look when the golden child of the NZIHL feels the need to verbally have a go at a member of the crowd at the end of the first period – must have been rattled.
Only difference being the goalie for Canterbury in the first period who let in 4 goals
and was pulled for the remainder of the game. Will be a great one next weekend

[/quote:1iln2kxo]Yes. I’m an excellent warm up goalie. Forgot to do my eye exercises on sunday though. Didn’t see the puck so well until it stopped moving in the back of my net. Finals are in Chch though so mission accomplished.
