Crd will have to play disciplined hockey and not get caught up in the moment. They showed that when they open hockey as they did in the 2nd game (2nd & 3rd period) that the other teams don’t/can’t keep up with them. This was how they played in Dunedin and carved up!
I’m not sure Dunedin was a good place to judge the Red Devils performance.
Will certainly be an interesting matchup. The battle of the NZIHL titans!
I went for a split series. The Red Devils will win the first game 2-1. That Mitalas guy will have a blinder and stop the Stampede cold apart from a top shelf slapshot from the point late in the third. The next game will be a white wash as the Red Devils goalie will have spent all night SlapShot’ing about how awesome he was in the first game.
can he post on ‘slapshot’ from the bench? probably split the games again!

Everyone knows that goalies don’t do much anyway, they just stand around for most of the time anyway and flail their arms when the puck comes near.
I guess if he put the phone inside his catcher then he could post whilst playing!
depends whether you want to call drift netting for pucks a legitimate sport or that applying sunscreen to the back of his neck is an OSH issue!!!

I have sent a txt during a period break in a running time game before, you have to be a bit quicker then.
I’ve put one each, I’d like to see Stampede take both but I think they’ll get a run for their money.

Im gonna have to go stampede on this one, I mean leaving Eaden up high just to get breakaway goals wont work against a team that plays like a team, if stampede were to put one of there fast forwards marking the red devils goal scorers the red devils wouldn’t have much
Swarm thought that would work too. KC Ball shadowed Eaden. However, Ryan Ruddle got 4 goals. Eaden still had 3. Don’t forget Paris Heyd too. That’s just one line. And then there’s the other guys…..
Jofa, you’ve also forgotten about Ruddle, he has been scoring a hat full and they are on the same line. the devils have more than one goal scorer despite having both eaden and ruddle, several others are chipping with a couple per game, just check the stats.
think that marking eaden is the role of the d and the other forwards should be preventing/closing the passing lanes down to assist the d.
i think that both eaden and ruddle will still score a couple of goals each game.
