Noticed it hadn’t been mentioned in the Devils – Thunder topic so I though I’d give it a new thread.
Chris Eaden scored his 50th point Sunday against the thunder becoming the first 50 point scorer in the NZIHL. How many will he finish the season with and will anyone else reach the 50 point mark in the next few seasons?
Chris has another 10 in him minimum I should think. I should also think that it will be difficult in the following years to match his points per game output. I will be optimistic and say Dunedin will improve with some importation next year so guys won’t be able to pad their numbers as easily. So unless the number of games increases, I think his record is safe for a wee while.
Probably should add that’s 50 points this year not all his NZIHL points from both seasons.
And he got about 4 points after his 50th so hes on about 54 now.
Yeah I think it will be very different next year if the Thunder can get some imports. I tried to get some boys from the uni hockey team I was a trainer for back in Canada but I waited to late and there wasn’t interest. Maybe starting earlier next year we could get some stellar players from uni/the dub. Make it a little harder for Eaden to get that many lol. Grats to him though.
