I presume that like the ice black jerseys, these ones have your home team on them. The pictures are just samples.
September 5, 2009 at 9:30 pm #14166vpatrolMemberjust an example otherwise they need 5 jerseys shown. All players will have their respective logo on their jersey.

[/quote:2clepnan]hahaha when I first saw that, I knew someone would ask that question.

September 8, 2009 at 12:42 am #14169Defense101MemberI think it’s a great idea and could have possibly had a mixture of the ideas of an allstar game and kiwi talent featured. If the event was thought of or promoted or whatever earlier the Skate of Origin or whatever its called could have been hosted close after the final as the trial/showcase of talent. The IB team could be picked like people mentioned and then that team could play in a exhibition game against the allstars of the international players. Like Vince mentioned the league is unique and has lots of great international talent from junior a players in canada to division 3 world players from turkey and some americans….. NZ could have their trials and talent showcase and then have a higher skilled game after with their allstar teams from all players in the league. A lot of the international players live in new zealand anyways and some i am sure would post pone a flight for a couple of weeks.
September 8, 2009 at 1:34 am #14170Azzy77ModeratorWhen do we get to see the team??
I think for it to be a trial it needs to be two teams of NZ players so that everyone gets opportunity. To clarify what was the North/South requirement?
First learned hockey? or First played Rep Hockey? or First NZIHL team?If it is an all star game, then foreigners vs locals would be the way to go.
September 10, 2009 at 3:18 am #14171Azzy77ModeratorWho is on these teams anyway?
September 10, 2009 at 4:57 am #14172vpatrolMembershhhh, it’s a secret!
September 11, 2009 at 7:47 am #14173vpatrolMemberIf anyone sees those BSport guys up in Akl for the game, give them a pat on the back. We got some good radio coverage this year. Legitimizes the sport.

[/quote:11xrbws4] i believe it is where you come from originaly i.e where you were bornSeptember 23, 2009 at 9:34 am #14176vpatrolMemberfirst played hockey is what I’ve been hearing. Although Mike Parsons bucks that trend.
September 23, 2009 at 11:51 pm #14177Azzy77ModeratorMike Parsons being picked for allstar game for South Team, is just a snub, to the remaining four South Goalies. Which even excluding myself I think is rather rude.
Either Mike is picked for the North cos he is good enough, or he isn’t.
You can’t just change the rules of selection to see someone else play.September 24, 2009 at 1:24 am #14178KyleMemberFor a one off game, three goalies does seem excessive. I presume they’ll get a period each, but that’s a lot of cost to fly for one period of hockey.
September 24, 2009 at 2:11 am #14179Azzy77ModeratorThats a valid comment Kyle.
They do get two trainings as well. And each player had to pay $200 so its not like the league would be paying for it.
Also I may be wrong about my nz hockey history and Mike may have started in south if so feel free to correct me.
