Azzy, i still think he is was just trying to gives the devils some hope. If they are to be heros next weekend they will have to pick there costumes carefully
I still dont think Devils goalies nor Stampede goalies have been truely tested yet evan though both teams have played the Swarm due to the fact that Swarm have had imense trouble finishing this year just talk to there coach bout that, but that inst due to goalies playing like heros yet.
I would agree with young stats boy that is it hard to sit there for 5-10min take a shot and be expected to save it but have never really been one for excuses, maybe if goalies thought and expected themselves to save that shot you might start saving those expect prefection you would go from being a goalie in the NZIHL to a great goalie in the NZIHL
Those who want to be a hero are usually the ones who end up looking silly. I like the goalies who just quietly do their thing in net. We’ve got enough young guys on the team who can be a hero if they want.
The only problem with the stampede is there d. In saying that they have three good d-men in Argyle, Haines and Barr but other then that they have nothing back there to help them out.
I think with the Devils goalies there are certainly fewer opportunities for them to present that wow-factor that sticks in the people’s minds, probably because the devils goalies are solid players in a solid team – they’re another part of the machine, whereas I think it’s fair to say that the Thunder (for example) lean very heavily on their goalies.

it would be good to see them play agains the stampede to see if the devils goalies do have the wow factor
we have no wow factor. Atleast I don’t. I’m boring but I try and stop the puck. I’m probably not the reason we win games but I couldn’t care less about that. Just don’t want to be the reason we lose games.

Are u gonna play for us in the masters tournament next year Vince. its in the middle of Feb.so after the weekends games, who had the better goal tending? stampede or red devils? and who played in net for each team?
Justin Findlay was in net for the ‘Dev’s on saturday and Vince was in on Sunday. Thomas Gobiel played both games for Stampede. On sunday, Vince and Gobiel were tested right from the start with 5 goals in the first 4 minutes. Good solid goal tending from all 3 goalies though.
