Early next month is the closing date for nominations for Otago University Students Association ‘Blues’ – sporting awards. The awards are for students achieving at a high level in their chosen sport.

I thought Stefan and Megan are both worthy members of a blue for Ice Hockey. Stefan has made the Stampede team only a year after taking up the sport from inline, and Megan represented NZ again this year at the Womens World Champs.

Can anyone suggest anyone else who should be nominated? They must be a current university student, and typically they shouldn’t only perform at the top level in their sport, but also contribute via coaching or some other means. I can pass on the information to anyone who wants to nominate someone.
