That maybe true but records, history, how was first in the regular season, what line did best at Ice Blacks, who scored the most points, what goalies played well, what teams have had penalties, whos had the best forum polls.
All of that dosnt matter now it comes down to the team who is the most hungry, most determined it comes down to one night, one game
Devils recored at home dont matter they have a championship team this year and and have been equipped with the skills, but the Stampede also have a championship team and there heart should not be under estimated
Bring on some old time hockey
August 30, 2009 at 9:19 pm #14002ActiveMemberI reckon it only comes down to who had the best forum polls.
August 30, 2009 at 11:50 pm #14003cowgirlMemberHaha, either way it will be some game next weekend. Was the best hockey I’ve seen in ages here over the weekend. Was good to see some Dunedin boys there, presuming they were supporting Stampede??
Anyway, we’re trying to organise a supporters bus up on Sunday and of course to bring the cup back after the game ” title=”Tongue” />August 31, 2009 at 12:32 am #14004Azzy77ModeratorYeah the Dunedin Boys were supporting the stampede. Or I was anyway I can’t speak for the others. However we did have both eyes open so unlike the goal judge we saw Eadens 60th point. Lol
I view the Stampede as our big brothers or older cousins who we fight with a lot, but at the end of the day we want to see someone in the family do well.
Was nice to meet some other forum users and put a face to some of the comments. It was a really good game of hockey, and we had planned to make the trip to Canterbury, but due to the game being held on a Sunday we cannot make the trip. Damn you Alpine Ice arena!!!
August 31, 2009 at 12:45 am #14005jamrockMember1st game was awesome, 2nd game wasn’t taken as seriously(in the 1st period at least) as we should of due to the fact we already clinched the home final.
should be a full strength devils team for sunday

[/quote:2wk32txj]Sorry we try not to let Aaron out without his minders, he must have escaped for the weekend.
Rest assured, security has been tightened for this weekend, you won’t see him in Christchurch.

He was well behaved anyway, no sock on his head this week.August 31, 2009 at 7:57 am #14011kelf6966Member"jamrock":j1j6g2x2 wrote:1st game was awesome, 2nd game wasn’t taken as seriously(in the 1st period at least) as we should of due to the fact we already clinched the home final.[/quote:j1j6g2x2]
Seriously – Only from a Red Devils player, it seems any game that you guys lose is because you are not taking it seriously – did you not take the last two years finals seriously or did you guys just peak too soon.
August 31, 2009 at 7:58 pm #14012rookie19MemberSup.
How does the final weekend work? How many games are there on what days, and how is the winner decided?
