Does anyone have access to a digital projector?

Once the new building is complete, we want to use this to project NHL games in the new social area on Saturday nights, along with some food and maybe drinks.

If they do, let me know.

I have a vague memory of James van Leeuwen having one. Perhaps it was him who supplied the one for Joe’s going away party?

OK I’ll check and see where he got that from.

Alternatively, someone who has a spare TV which we could hook up a DVD player to would also be worth hearing about.

One of those cheap nasty $300 TV’s at the Warehouse would be okay if no one finds something for free.

Moving a TV to and fro from the rink isn’t really a viable option for anything more than the occasional major game.

The rink should probably buy a big LCD TV and have it playing video footage of various sports played at the rink full-time to try and get randoms coming in interested in the various sports played here.

Do they even have HDTV down in NZ yet?

Yes. Along with electricity we have HDTVs. But I don’t think they’re broadcasting much yet in HDTV – the production companies and tv stations have to buy new hundred thousand dollar cameras or something.
