Hey guys,
Does anyone know the result of the first A-Grade game last night? (Wednesday the 30th)
The second game was Sharks v Beasts, with the Sharks grabbing a 2 goal lead in the first period. Hareb picked up a rebound from Mitchell in the second to bring the final score to 2-1 to the Sharks. Close, hard, thoroughly enjoyable game.
May 2, 2008 at 12:24 am #8534ActiveMemberHeck Id love to tell you cause normally I would have been joyously playing that game but I couldnt cause in the weekend I was injured by a flying blue lunatic. Was that person deranged?, on P ?, escaped from an asylum?, a religious fanatic? on steroids perhaps with no thought of life or limb to himself let alone others????,
No it was Chris !
Saying “sorry about that old man” really made me feel better though.May 2, 2008 at 1:18 am #8535ChrisMemberActually the “deranged person” description is pretty accurate. TBH, I thought I’d skate between you and the boards and hence get to the puck first, but I missed. I didn’t intend to clip you!
Sorry G ” title=”Sad” />
May 2, 2008 at 3:06 am #8536cabronMemberUs “O-T’s” took out the Jets 5-2.
some faster action and slick passes in the first and 3rd periods did the trick, but a slump in the middle gave away a couple to the Jets. Larry W in goal continues to amaze – opposition haven’t realised that the Mo deflects everything well sideways
May 3, 2008 at 1:10 am #8537KyleMemberSweet, go the OTs.
Clearly I’m not needed. The Mo takes care of everything.

May 6, 2008 at 7:00 am #8540May 8, 2008 at 1:07 am #8541KyleMemberI’m not sure what happened with Kings-Bulls on Tuesday, but I understand Sharks had their first loss against the Jets that night. They were a little short on numbers on the bench.
Bullfrogs beat Johnnies… umm, 6-3? Not a bad game. Bullfrogs have got a couple of Beasts playing down and that was probably the difference. Old Timers beat Beasts 6-2. I had probably my worst game so far of a season – couldn’t shoot the puck within a couple of feet of the net, but did get two goals. One from behind the net on my knees that I put on the goalie and he kinda fumbled just over his own line. The other one I drove into him for the save, fell over and the puck bobbled off my leg and foot and into the net through momentum.
Comment in the changing room afterwards: “Pass to Kyle, he’s away, he slips and falls over, he scores!”.
Anyone watching the game would note that members of my team scored, y’know. Goals using their sticks. Bloody traditionalists.

[/quote:sp9wjvqp]Don’t think it was 6-3, I know it was at least 7-3, one comment in the changing room was that it was 8 something.
Yeah we had 2 Beasts, ones our captain and the other(s) fills in whenever we are short on players, which is normally all the time as we do not have enough players to have even one person sick and Rob and I are organised and make sure we have players to put on the ice.
If there is anyone who is B-grade and wants to play and isn’t they should ask to play. We need more players!
btw it was Ritchies last game last night, he was one of our best players (and had played for grand total of two weeks before the DIHL pre-season started…) so we have lost a little of our fire power.
May 8, 2008 at 2:33 am #8543ChrisMemberRitchie the english guy? fantastic. I claim him as my recruit ” title=”Cheesy” />

You should come back to adult beginners and consult with Bode and hit some people up for the second half of the season. There’s three or four who have arrived since the semester started who wouldn’t look out of place in a B grade game.

[/quote:dyk3iass]Bode and I have discussed it already, I think she has one player who wants to play.

May 14, 2008 at 11:06 pm #8547KyleMemberUnpleasant game between the Sharks and the Oldtimers last night. Lots of unhappiness and talks about who’s going to get what later on and a physical confrontation at the end of the game, which almost carried on into the dressing room. Couple of Oldtimers acting a lot less mature than the teenagers on the Sharks I thought.
Seriously people, it’s a game of hockey. Sharks were well on top on the scoreboard, 6-1 or so.
Better game between Bulls and Bullfrogs which Bulls took out.
