And welcome to the forum ” title=”Smiley” />

Hey Ryan so skating around in circles counts for something?
see u at the next DIHL !!! you’ll be the one playing the easy game of goalie????????May 23, 2007 at 9:07 am #2402imported_RyanMemberIt’s good to see you understand how it works then. Goalies stand there doing nothing all night, defense skate round in circles and the forwards go do all the work for us ” title=”Smiley” />
Ryan,

Hello Kyle, what do you mean..? A goalie do work for a change??????
[/quote:zvk4pmip]Hey Jaimee!
I saw you on Sunday with your stick leaning up against the goal Jaimee. I think you’d taken a quick nap while Ryan was skating around in circles.
It looked just like this though.
I was having major deja vu! A NHL star in the making you are.
May 23, 2007 at 7:40 pm #2405JoeMemberWow, that picture is brilliant, who took it?
May 23, 2007 at 8:30 pm #2406KyleMemberWell Joe, it’s like when I’m refereeing a game, and I find some money in my skates (which I like to call ‘home’ and ‘away’) before I put them on.
I find things on the internet, I don’t ask where they came from!
But seriously, Jaimee’s stick looked just like that. I was watching and thinking – wow, that looks just like that photo of Joe’s. What’s with goalie’s losing their sticks to the side of the net?

May 24, 2007 at 7:29 am #2408JaimeeMemberHey thats not fair my stick was stuck !!!
I would never rest my stick there, maybe somewhere else but not there.May 29, 2007 at 12:24 am #2409KyleMemberA grade picks:
Right, we’re almost at the finish line, it’s in sight, there’s just the home stretch to go.
Let’s see where the teams are and how the table looks.
Phantoms are still on top at 7 points. They’re playing in the final next week, but they don’t yet know who against. A win tonight will see them secure first place and home bench advantage.
John McGlashan OB are in second on six points. If they win tonight, they’re in the final, if they win and Phantoms lose, they’re top spot.
Sharks are in third on four points. If they win tonight, they’ll finish equal with Johnnies OB, and it’ll come down to goal difference. I don’t have the complete figures in front of me, but I suspect they’ll finish out ahead, so heaps of motivation for them to win tonight and sneak into the final.
Bullfrogs are in fourth, and can’t make the final. Boohoo.
Tonight, first up will see Sharks take on John McGlashan. Last time the two teams played Johnnies took it 4-0, but they also pulled in Toby Schuck as their goalie for that game, so tonight’s game will be really interesting. Sharks pulled off a really big win last week against a tiring Phantoms team, and might have finally hit their straps. I’m picking this to be a big game, and I’m going with Sharks to win it 4-2.
Secondly, Phantoms take on Bullfrogs. First time these two teams played it finished up a draw, and the Bullfrogs might swoop in and spoil Phantoms home run, after Phantoms stumbled badly last week in the last period to lose to the Sharks. I’m thinking it’ll be close, 2-2 draw with a late Phantoms goal to tie it up.
May 29, 2007 at 10:28 pm #2410Jono_Member6 games have been played. 6 weeks of picks. 6 weeks of picking the team playing the old boys. every week except when playing the phantoms, the picks have been wrong. Why oh why do you have such little faith in us Kyle?
May 29, 2007 at 10:36 pm #2411KyleMemberActually, if you look back at the picks, I never pick against my own team (which hasn’t proven to be very good for my picks record this season ” title=”Sad” /> ). So if we ignore those ones, I’ve got both your games wrong against the Sharks. Last night was a good close game – 2-1 to you guys. The first game, well, it helps when you bring big Toby Schuck in between the posts rather than the rookie goalie you did have lined up!
May 29, 2007 at 10:39 pm #2412Jono_Memberwhatever helps you sleep at night. oh you of little faith.
May 30, 2007 at 12:10 am #2413KyleMemberWinning more games would help me sleep at night. The outcomes of my random picks… just done for fun and all your entertainment.
Though winning players and parents certainly like gloating when I get them wrong. Good to see that the competition is close and it’s not always easy to pick a winner.
