Just the other day Jack was telling me how he was hoping you wouldn’t make it back for the DIHL. About how you shoot like a girl or something.
Bloody beasts. No sensitivity at all.

Last night to sign up for the B grade DIHL is Tuesday at the Bowler. Get your names and money in so that we can put the teams together.
First games next Sunday.

MemberActually Mark really had that one totally covered when he skated up to the offside line, went to stick his whistle in his mouth, and discovered that his grill was still domed on, so he took 20 seconds to take it off before blowing the whistle.
Latest. Offside. Call. Ever. Goals were scored in the interim I’m telling ya

MemberIt’s looking like at this stage, unless I get any late information, that B grade DIHL will only have four teams. I couple of teams that I was expecting to front just haven’t appeared.
Information should be coming out probably tomorrow with a draw etc, but games will be 6:30, or 7:45 Sunday night.

MemberI thought the club would keep the early ice time free for practices.

MemberThe only practice on Sunday night is the beginners one, which finishes at 6pm.

MemberThere are plans for more practices though and Sunday seems like a good time for them. But I’m not involved with the practice scheduling so perhaps they’ve got that sorted already.

MemberWell I’m not sure what further practices they’re planning to put into the schedule. The new things are the powerskating classes, one of them is going into Tuesday night, the other into Sunday morning, but as far as I know both those times are already set.
I urged a principle to be adopted of keeping practices away from time periods where people are playing games. So B grade games shouldn’t be on a night when practices are on that involve B grade players (peewees, midgets, adult beginners, high schools). Adult beginners refused to move however, so there’s a clash which I suspect doesn’t help either the beginners or the DIHL B grade.
If practices and games need to be on the same night, then they should cross over. So Prems practice on a night when B grade games are on, and Peewees practice on a night when A grade games are on. It’s mostly worked out that way, but not perfectly.
