[/quote:2023xy43]you most definately are one if you don’t want to say who you are. What’s the point of insulting someone online behind an anonymous name? Make you feel tough? Make you a better hockey player? We all know who Active is. Who are you?
October 22, 2009 at 4:28 am #13919thirteenMemberand all active does is clearly take the piss, i hope you’re smart enough to realise that
October 22, 2009 at 5:19 am #13920vpatrolMemberI’m just guessing but I’m guessing Active doesn’t have such a close relationship with this kid where he doesn’t mind being called a f**k wit. If I called someone that when i was 13, I’d extent a beating. My parent’s would beat me afterwards too. Good ol days!
October 22, 2009 at 6:25 am #13921thirteenMemberyea man my parents would deal to me if i talked to them or any adult like that! they probably would still!
October 22, 2009 at 6:29 am #13922Hockey_GoonMemberYes I must say it is ridiculous that they other game didn’t end in a SO even though the ice time was available and both teams obliged. The least the ref can do is wait an extra 2 minutes or so for the sake of the tournament for the 20 dollars or so they get payed to reff the game! If i was a member of the stars I would be very angry!
I would like to see Kyle and Michael (no sarcasim) ref a bit more and help out the other reffs. Perhaps an essential refs course should be held again, even for qualified refs?October 22, 2009 at 6:32 am #13923thirteenMemberGO SOUTHLAND!!!

First up on Tuesday at 7pm are the mighty Bullfrogs vs the Chiefs battling out for the chance to win a medal in the Dunedin Ice Hockey League B-grade finals.
The Bullfrogs have a perfect record of 0 – 6 for the season, hot off a narrow 2 – 3 score against the Superfly team last week they are easy favourites to win.
The Bullfrogs have their regular star studded lineup including superstar imports Jaydee Cabral on defense and powerforward Bret Dougherty from the natural home of ice sports, sunny California. Media personality Anna Craw will be suiting up on defense along with local limpet Ryan Hellyer. The aggressive Walter von Ballmoos has flown in from South Africa to bolster the forward lineup with some hard hitting muscle along with David Richards and Auckland import Sarah Ward. Kara Ross has a perfect 0 – 5 record for the season and will be hard to beat during this final game of the season. We’d normally expect to see some blinding saves, but it’s highly unlikely Kara will be facing many shots.
The Chiefs are about to be dealt a serious ass whooping. My pick: 10 – 2. Six goals from Bret Dougherty via rebounds, two from yours truly via wrist shots from the point, one via a snapshot from the slot from Sarah Ward and one from Kara Ross via a wrist shot from the goal line. Sonja Woods and Paul Roth to score for the Chiefs from rebounds via shots from the point.
The Chiefs better have well padded pants as they’re about to get bent over and spanked with a big fat wooden spoon on Tuesday!
In the other B-grade on Wednesday between the Midgets and Superfly, the midgets will trounce the Superfly 4 – 0. Three goals from breakaways, one from a nice pass across the slot and sunk into the net by Nick Patchett.
PS: Someone needs to do picks for the A-grade. I’m not following it closely enough to know what’s going on.
October 26, 2009 at 9:41 pm #13929ActiveMemberIn the A grade minor finals between the (we was robbed) Stars and the Juniors will be close. Ben Jarvie if he plays will play like crap cause its hard to play good looking over your shoulder, some minor altercations may start with someone calling the other nasty insiduous names like “pussy” , Blake dislocating his shoulder skating into the boards trying to take someone out and Stefan if he plays will score some pretty goals but the overall experience of the stars will come through for a win
In the major final the Bears Canadian firm of Steve and Mike will control the game from the back with Mike chipping in for a goal and the rest being distributed amongst the remainder of the team after being set up nicely. If James V.L plays it may be close. No one will be attacked, nose picked or eye gouged . A hard fought clean game
The bears to win by 2October 26, 2009 at 10:02 pm #13930KyleMemberThere was a disciplinary hearing last night arising from last week’s game and all three players have had no further punishment applied, so are available for the final week.
October 26, 2009 at 10:30 pm #13931ActiveMemberMike, Chris and who was the third?
October 26, 2009 at 10:33 pm #13932imported_RyanMemberRhys I assume.
EDIT: Oops, sorry Rhys
