Team rosters are now out for the new Dunedin Premier Series … http://www.dunedinicehockey.hellyer.kiwi/premierseries/%5B/url:1elqgj8w%5D
So, who’s goin’a win?
Ryan
July 12, 2007 at 9:47 pm #5970KyleMemberShort rosters for 60 minutes of stop time contact – I was expecting 3 forward lines.
Good to see Damien Watson playing – I haven’t seen him in the prems so far this year.
I’m going to have to go for team 1. That split goalie name throws it up in the air a bit, but assuming Toby plays a fair bit, I think they might have it over team 2.
Ryan, your rules the should note that females are allowed to play contact, the DIHA rulebook doesn’t allow that at present does it?

Ryan,
July 12, 2007 at 10:25 pm #5972KyleMemberThey’re breasts Ryan, I’m not sure gloss hides them. Binding perhaps…
I added a superior option to your poll by the way.

Ryan,
July 12, 2007 at 11:52 pm #5974CrashMember[color=green:367wrimc]So I think this maybe a good time to take bets from everybody as to who is going to win the premier series, I think $5 buy in. The plot gets split between the winners.
Money and Team name to Me before the 1st game.[/color:367wrimc]
July 12, 2007 at 11:56 pm #5975KyleMemberoh that’s hardly exciting at all. You’ll put in $5 and get $10 back if you win.
How about a pool where you have to pick winner (team 1 or 2), and then tie breakers of 1. number of games it takes to get to four (ie, 6), and 2. score of the final game. Closest winner takes all.
Players can’t put in of course if you make it that complicated.
July 13, 2007 at 12:42 am #5976Azzy77ModeratorHow bout a virtual super 14 esqe game
i.e each game you pick winner and margin, say
normal time tie, win by 1 goal, 2 goals, or 3+and have points allocated for winner, then more points for margin, and double points for standard time draw.
Then the piece de resistance bounus points based on guessing how many times Matthews falls over when lining/reffing game
July 13, 2007 at 12:45 am #5977imported_RyanMemberI can offer a high quality NHL endorsed top quality Franklin Street Hockey T-shirt as a bonus prize ” title=”Tongue” /> I’ll need to think about what it should be awarded for though …

[/quote:2tlsawf4]Well that last bit is easy. None.
I haven’t fallen over when wearing the stripes for ages actually. When I’m playing however… falling over is a sign of commitment. Ask Darcy.
July 18, 2007 at 1:35 am #5979imported_RyanMemberResult?
And what’s this about fights and whatnot?
Ryan,
July 18, 2007 at 2:42 am #5980Azzy77ModeratorBode switched the teams I think, i.e 2 = 1 and 1 = 2 maybe…
Anyway James team won like 200 gazillion to 8 or something, I don’t know I had a blow out of epic proportions….I have never played that badly in my life, Even in my first game there wasn’t that many goals scored against me, and too top it off Jacques who it seems I was running a benefit gig for, scoring like a 199 gazillion of the goals, broke the cage on my helmet with a snap shot from not far out….
There were a few fights but too be honest I had given up caring by that stage and just wanted off the ice…I think Jacques and Ryan O’keefe were involved…..
July 18, 2007 at 3:11 am #5981battered_and_bruisedMemberHe man don’t worry bout it. I can think of a little insirational situation. Back in December of 1995, Patrick Roy had an epic blowout of a game againt Detroit. They lost 11-1 and Roy let in 9 goals. Mario Trembley, Habs coach at the time, refused to pull Roy untill he let the 9th goal in. Roy stormed off the ice and told the Habs GM that was his last game in Montreal. he go traded the next day to the Avs, who went on to win the cup. So It’s not all bad man.
From what I could gather, O’keefe was head hunting in the last period and he had a go and Andre first then he clipped Jacque and that was it. Jacque was not gonna take that kinda crap, so he kicked his ass lol. Was a good fight too. Joe put the reason for the fight the best, bu I can’t recall what he said.
July 18, 2007 at 3:19 am #5982Azzy77ModeratorI tell you what after about the millionth goal I was ready to storm off the ice too, and tell bode to dress someone else cause I just couldn;t get my head in the game, especially after Jacque broke my helmet, It really hurt, I don’t think it hit me physically, it may have….
Who can I get traded to, I see if aubury needs a goalie this weekend…
I just couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t stop anything, I mean I felt I was in good position, the puck just kept finding holes….
I felt so crap… I mean honestly and I know people were just trying to be nice, but after a game like that I just need time to myself…. not everyone coming up and asking if I am okay…. I don’t care if the D didn’t play very well, when you get a number like 200 gazillion against ya, it doesn’t feel good, I need reflection time, not to be picked up my well-meaning people, it really didn’t help.
