Looks like he has other plans unfortunately.
[quote:3hd5vmte]Doing a … thing this year on that weekend, so it will sadly be a miss. Too bad! I thought it was during Easter.[/quote:3hd5vmte]
Hopefully my girlfriend doesn’t question why I’m going to the Cook by myself …
April 28, 2009 at 9:43 pm #10892KyleMemberAs far as I know, there isn’t a shortage of goalies for next weekend, unless the Juniors or a team from elsewhere are looking for one.
April 30, 2009 at 12:04 am #10893ActiveMemberAny one out there who wishes to play in an Easton Cup team post your name up here. if there are any prospective Thunder players who want more ice time feel free.
April 30, 2009 at 12:34 am #10894imported_RyanMemberWhat level of players are you looking for?
April 30, 2009 at 12:51 am #10895ActiveMemberSo far the teams are the Thunder, the Canadian Mafia (Steve Jacksons team), Juniors and possibly Southern Juniors, The Beasts and the leftovers. All non checking. If your comfortable playing at this level and want to then u qualify
May 4, 2009 at 12:59 am #10896ActiveMemberHey Vince. Do u still want to play Easton Cup ?. I cant seem to find enough players to make another team and I dont know the status of goalies for the other teams. Im presuming ( might be wrong) that the leftovers will be split between the remaining teams but I dont know at this stage. let me know what your status is
May 4, 2009 at 1:53 am #10897KyleMemberGraham who did you have on your list? We want the leftovers to form a team, or the Thunder to form a team. Can you email me with whereever you got up to?

[/quote:1cn04eqa]It appears I am working that weekend now and I have to pick up our import on friday morning. I don’t mind giving dunedin a sneak peak of him but I doubt he wants to play hockey right after flying for 20+ hours. Sorry
May 6, 2009 at 4:15 am #10899KyleMemberWuss. He’s flying here to play hockey surely?

May 6, 2009 at 4:34 am #10901Azzy77ModeratorIs it me or did the cost per team go up?
May 6, 2009 at 4:43 am #10902rookie19MemberWas just going to say that, I preferred $700 per team… how much is ice time costing us!!??

[/quote:yww3itga]“Hey Kyle (his name is Kyle too), I know you just spent 30 hours in planes and airports but how about we drive 4 more hours so you can play in a tournament and sleep on the floor? Sound good? Great!” or he could sleep and just play in chch when he wakes up!
May 6, 2009 at 7:04 am #10904kiwicanuckMemberHey Guys
I’m going to be in Dunedin this weekend and are just wondering if there is a team looking for a player for this weekend. My standard of play is just average but I love playing and would love to have a run on the weekend. I have just completed my first season in Christchurch.
Hope I can help a team out
cheers

[/quote:10zuyjf6]Yes.
$700 was based on 4 games, 8 teams in 2 pools.
We have six teams, we’re playing a full round robin and a playoff game each at the end, so we had to increase the cost (I didn’t think people would want to play in 2 pools with only 3 teams in each.
