Yes Peter was there and taking photos today.
Greece were a completely different team from earlier in the tournament. Luxembourg played fairly well, but Greece got themselves in penalty problems, let in two shorthanded goals, and their goalie that performed so well against the IBs was just average today.

[/quote:hh70mz1t]Linesmen can’t blow their whistle for a penalty. What they do is wait until the next stoppage of play and then inform the referee, who can call it or not.
That wouldn’t explain why the referee never signalled the goal however.

As I remmember it as the greek breakaway was about to shoot and the ref put up his hand for a penalty on the Greek pony tail defence running interference, let the game run in case of NZ getting advantage, then signalled no goal when it went in and put the Greek pony tail in the box for 2 minutes. Seems pretty simple to me.

A big hands up to everyone who was involved in running and organising the event especially kyle who pretty much lived at the rink for the whole tournament. Very well run event, highly impressed with how smooth it ran!

Kyle had to put up with last minute volunteers who complained about not being told where to be. And with volunteers who decided at the last minute they couldn’t be bothered…Well done guys…
Only complaint i heard from fans, you cna’t hear announcements in the stand this needs to be fixed, we have heard the problem from last year and we haven’t remedied it…Some one do something

[/quote:o5ynx2y3]Hmmm yeah, it can eb fixed, at a price, with the more structures in the building like the new social area sound is becoming significantly better but there are atill improements to be made. I made usggestions a while ago to a certain person, and was promptly told I didnt know what I was doing despite being a sound person before a lighting person and doing equal as big sounds events as I’ve done lighting events
