Hockey is kinda coming to a close now in Dunedin and i think we should book out the Caledonia and do inline training so that Dunedin will own it up in hockey next year, it wont be expensive and the Caledonia is practically always free.

umm, if we have the numbers for inline, why wouldn’t we just train at the rink?

That way, at least the rink gets our money, rather than the caledonian

    Good idea Tom.

Kyle, can you book us in? Plus I think I still need to pay for the previous session we had there.

A weekend slot would suit me good but Tuesdays will shortly be a bad night for a few of us (summer field hockey). Thursdays are likely to have practices for another month or so and Wednesdays is the DIHL … so preferably not at any of those times.

Coz some of us actually enjoy playing both sports and the Caledonian is WAYY cheaper than the ice rink. We need about 15 people to justify using the ice rink, but only need about three for the Caledonian gym as it is only about $25/hour (or there abouts) instead of $150/hour at the ice rink.

My son is going to try and organise the peewees to play inline over the summer. We were thinking about doing it outdoors, but if there was inline happening at the Caledonian, and the times could be matched so they followed each other, we might try there before the big kids play.

I’d be keen, so long as I can borrow skates

I’ve given a pair of size 10 (I think) skates to Callan to use. If he doesn’t come you are welcome to use them if they fit. They’re Hi-lo Bauer Vapors, not sure what model.

I will consider buying a pair if this is going to be a regular thing.

We played quite a lot last summer, albeit mainly outside.

Not until you pay for the last couple of bookings. I got a reminder notice about it today. I’ll hunt out the bill and you can pay them direct.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that. Although it’s only one that I owe for.

You booked two. One I was at, was a general game just after Jenel arrived. Then you booked another one a month or so later, I presume you collected money for that as well.

Is there any Inline happening soon?

    #7016

My bad! I need to pay off the bills for the Caledonian gym first.

What you could do though Tom. Is just tell us all to turn up at a particular spot at an exact time and we’ll all turn up. The courts at Kavanagh College are a good option, ditto for George St junior school. We did that a bit last time and it worked quite well. Leave a post here and chances are everyone will text everyone else and we should have a decent turnout. We did this quite a bit last summer and it worked well.

And before anyone suggests it … beside the rink is crappy. It’s cold, windy, there’s no walls and there’s a big dip in the middle of, plus there’s often cars about.

    Ryan,
