Hi,
The Beasts have requested a game to see where they stand in relation to playing in the A grade. Their B grade DIHL team had a couple of people hacked off it to fit in the B grade, but as they keep getting better, they’ll have to chop the top of the team more and more, so they want to see how far off they are in relation to jumping up to the A grade.
So I’m going to pull together a made up A grade team to pound them into the ice… er, play them in a friendly game.
It will most likely be this Sunday 5th August, after beginners – 7pm or so.
So anyone keen to play post here or email me on kyle.matthews@otago.ac.nz (don’t txt me as my phone is away being fixed for the rest of the week).

[/quote:okrko44y]Do you already have the ice booked at that time if so I won’t need to contact Joyce. Umm I’m sure Kyle will let you be on his team, I think they maybe short players as his A-grade team had some beast members in it last year.
That’s no good – sorry I thought Mark had booked the ice for Sunday already.
Converting whoever turns up for Sunday social game into a team won’t work, so if we take that time then a bunch of people who play the Sunday normally are going to miss out.
Who has the time? We shouldn’t go taking it off the people who turn up on Sundays by being bossy.
No -one has the ice booked at the moment but I am able to informaly book it with Neil as long as I groom after. Usually I confirm it on thursdays when Neil is back to work

People should keep adding their names. Like I said, we’re aiming for an A grade level team, so I’ll go through a similar process with how we make the teams – try and end up with the right balance (we use this numbering system in the DIHL which I won’t go into the details of, but everyone gets a number and then the numbers are averaged out).
However at this stage we really need a goalie. Nick can’t come, Toby might be a little imposing. I’m waiting to hear from Aaron.
