Just got text, we won 9-2 (u19) for this afternoons game, unsure who it was against it was the 3.45pm if that helps

    Southern won 9-1 over Auckland

Auckland Women beat Southern Women 4 – 2. Good game, but Auckland players just too strong for the Southern defense.

One of the Auckland players put one hell of a slapshot in top shelf at the end.

Canterbury didn’t win any games in any grade.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Auckland Junior player who apparently took a dump in one of the Canterbury Juniors players gloves last night?

I’ve heard stories, but none of it seemed particularly believable.

Think you might find that it was the other way around and that’s probably enough said about it.

I don’t think it is worth discussing while it is being investigated by those high up in the NZIHF.

    Peewees:

Friday Auckland beat Southern 8-3, then beat Canterbury (11-0?).
Saturday Southern beat Canterbury 11-1, then lost to Auckland 7 – 4.
Sunday Auckland beat Canterbury 9-5, then Southern beat Canterbury 10-1.

The Saturday afternoon game between Auckland and Southern was a hell of a game. We were 3-2 ahead at one stage early in the second, finished that period two goals down, couldn’t get it back in the third and then the penalty box let their player out early and they scored with about 30 seconds to go. Kids gave it all.

Auckland brought a very good team, three of their kids on their top line got MVP awards, 10 year old goalie Drew Kinney from Southern picked up the goalie award – 86% save percentage, 0.64 shots per minute, he had a fantastic tournament.

I thought that all of the peewees teams played some very good hockey over the weekend and often the score didn’t really reflect the quality of the game. Some had some great strength in key areas.

Possibly a prank gone REALLY wrong!

Ah, yeah, apparently I had it around the wrong way. I didn’t recognise the name of the Canterbury player so just assumed it was someone from Auckland.

So Cantabrian supposedly poo’d in Auckland players glove. Yuck!

Hope he pays for a new pair of gloves.

I had exactly the same response whilst being told while driving along in a car. It seemed I was the only one who thought it was hilarious. Apparently I am “sick and twisted” for laughing at it. I was also the only male in the car; not sure if that had any bearing on my being the only one there who thought it was funny.

Knowing what my gloves smell like it may have improved the smell. Im glad those “high up in the NZIHF” are investigating. I can see it now, all sniffing the offending glove to see if its true then making some crappy judgement that puts the offender in the shit, wow! this topic has some real scope
