The site doesn’t seem to be working though as it’s just a table with some images in it, there’s not even any text !? I’m guessing they’ll sort that out in July when they say they’ll be haopening. It’ll be interesting to see what their pricing is like.
Ryan,
Hello AllI would like to announce the arrival of a new Ice Hockey and Inline retailer in New Zealand, based out of Auckland.
This shop will go online in July, supplying quality equipment and affordable prices from Auckland and Canada. We ship to anywhere in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA and the UK.
All major brands will be supplied ? CCM, KOHO, Bauer, ITECH, Easton, Sherwood, Mission and more.
It can be found at the following address:
See you all online soon!
Kind Regards

[/quote:2ukm65xb]I presume none of the links work, because it’s not ‘open’ yet. Once they open they’ll probably activate it all.
Either that, or their website designer needs to be fired!
August 30, 2006 at 2:03 am #1484imported_RyanMemberLooks like the site isn’t amounting to anything. It’s still just a bunch of images and says ‘coming July 2006’.
Ryan,February 1, 2007 at 12:01 am #1485KyleMemberI’ve just been keeping a bit of an eye on this web site that is trying to get into competition with trademe. They’re really failing, most of their categories are empty, but they do have a fair bit of ice hockey stuff – mostly new but out of date stock.
I’ve just bought a new pair of CCM Tacks 252. They’ve got a whole range of sizes up there for $135/pair, which is pretty good. Also pants, helmets, stick blades and shafts.
Anyway, the web site is http://www.letmebid.co.nz. Worth a look.

Basically it was an auckland dude wanting to sell gear but I dont think he got enough interest through email for him to bother with it.
I emailed him about getting my new mission sticks but its basically pointless to order through him, as all that he does is import the gear and charge you the total importing cost plus he takes a cut, ur basically paying him to take the risk of importing. If you want gear from North America i suggest just ordering a shipment for yourself (from hockeygiant.com, icewarehouse.com, epuck.com, hockeymonkey.com) as i have done many times. Even better is to get a group of people to order, so that shipping is shared. Remember dont go over about $1000 as N.Z. Customs will ping u for importing duties and taxes.
Of course the best place to get gear has got to be [b:1hlbiqn0]www.sk8.co.nz[/b:1hlbiqn0], come and see us today!! haha 😉Cu Sunday nite guys,
Stiff #19February 2, 2007 at 2:50 am #1488KyleMemberYeah.
Maybe someone should organise a little import consortium. Twenty people or so, place an order every couple of months, divide the shipping up.
I like SK8, and it’s where I’ve got almost all my stuff from, but the prices just don’t compare, because no hockey shop here sells enough stuff to keep the overheads down to a minimal part of the product price. So I’m holding off getting a helmet, elbow pads, until I can get a good price.
