12 and a half minutes. She let in 2 in the first 9 minutes, but they got a couple of quick ones after that which messed up her stats a little near the end.
Great to see her out there, she was stoked.
Yeah good on Jaimee. It would have been scary, she performed really well.
Still doesn’t mean I think it is safe, but thats okay.
The other thing you need to realise Ryan is younger goalies generally wear Junior gear which is not a well-protected as senior mens gear. But I guess at the end of the day if she is happy to be out there, then I am not going to stop her.
Jaimee’s not a man, she’s fully grown remember. She’s got good gear – her family went shopping last year.
They spelt her name right on the front page of the ODT, but got it wrong in the mini-story in the sports section.

Actually I meant Jaimee isn’t going to grow any more, her age isn’t particularly relevant. Physically there’s not much difference to her playing in the game now as there would be in 5 years.
I suspect it’s a moot point by now.
Age isn’t the point I was getting across. Junior gear is not an age thing its a size thing, besides Juniors is up to 20.
For all I know Jaimee has senior gear so that would be fine. I am just speculating based on her size she might still wear Junior gear which offers less protection.As Kyle says the point is moot she has played, and played well.
8-2 loss (4-1, 3-0, 1-1). Third was obviously best period. Possible rematch if nz gets by China tomorrow

Just being fussy, but I am the local women’s team goalie; Jaimee plays for the Southern Women, not the Dunedin women, although she was the ring in when I was ill.
i just find it unusual that the thunder goalies werent asked first, with no direspect to jamiee, coz shes awesome, but the thunder goalies are the best in dunedin so why werent they asked? it would have made more sense for the comnpetition surely?
but still, big ups jamiee for kickin ass out there with the best
