I guess since Red Devils only used Eaden (1-6) for their shootout though, there was only one shooter from Red Devils left. (Although I think Jacques took the last shot which seemed like a strange decision.)
[/quote:24809cb1]yet Canterbury fielded more different players in the shootout then dunedin. Funny that.

[/quote:8wkkr8ee]Though also to be fair, Damian Watson was injured on the Saturday and didn’t play on the Sunday, and JP Bertrand was in a sling by shootout on Sunday I think. Those would have been two that the coach would have had at the top of his list come shootout time I’d imagine.
The eventual winner – Saeed – hit metal on his two first shots – one just a glance, the other he got a lot of it. Third time lucky?
Fantastic game, but I only had a babysitter until 6pm so if y’all can move things along next time, cheers.
May 30, 2011 at 3:02 am #16618Azzy77ModeratorHmmm you raise interesting point there Vinny.
I just noticed Eaden a lot, I can’t even remember all the shooters.
Us. Yvan-Enright-Hassan-Gino,????
Canterbury. Eaden-Harrop-Jacques-Papai,???
Anyone remember the players, and the actual order?
As Kyle said we were down two first choice shooters.
May 30, 2011 at 3:23 am #16619thirteenMemberif we put in geordie wheeler the shootout would have been over before it got out of hand, lucky for canty we decided to lead them on a bit
May 30, 2011 at 3:27 am #16620Azzy77ModeratorI was actually waiting for the Blake Sinclair Special….
May 30, 2011 at 3:33 am #16621thirteenMemberi told james! i said “put me in coach” apparantly he didnt think that was a good idea??
May 30, 2011 at 4:54 am #16622ActiveMemberMost of the red Devils left without shaking hands. What was that about? were they in a hurry or were they just being pratts
May 30, 2011 at 6:08 am #16623Azzy77ModeratorThey had to leave to catch their flight. The ones that stayed were driving back, hence were not in sooo much of a rush.

[/quote:3splb3so]Argyle and Sparf also shot for us. Pretty sure Eaden didn’t shoot 6 times however having the top goal getter for the league a couple years in a row shooting often is not a silly idea. There’s a reason you had Saeed and Heyd shoot 3 times instead of Sinclair.
The team did have to rush off for the flight. A 7pm departure when the game was still going at 630pm wasn’t ideal. Air NZ held the plane for them fortunately. I’m sure most of the Thunder understood there wasn’t any slight intended otherwise none of us would have stayed to shake hands.

Hey I read on Hockey Hub you weren’t take anymore photos in Auckland until Lighting fixed or something to that effect? Is this true?
