ModeratorI don’t know about that. A lot of people in this league wearing cages appear to for some reason or another feel invincible, and get a lot chirpier than they should….
They seem to be the ones putting targets on their own back not the other way around

MemberSomeone is going to kill Jeremy Chai when he takes his cage off. And I have heard heaps of people talking about Challis.

MemberI agree with vpatrol a +2 instigator for any player wearing a cage would be a good rule

ModeratorTom is far too pretty to ever take his cage off…..
When are you going to take your cage off aston, I will take mine off if you take yours off…

MemberPerhaps its more to do with the age of the caged than wear with no fear. In my experience many young people tend to be a bit lippy regardless of what they wear. Happily this mostly gets beaten out of them the older they get

MemberRecent hearings: Jordan Challis has got a 5 game ban for splitting. Robbie Chamberlain got three games for high sticking.

Moderator5 games!! Thats a lot, guess we won’t get to see our old mate Challis in Dunedin then?
Did he spit in the refs face or something??High Sticking is my favourite, it can go from just a faceoff to a 3 match ban….

MemberAnother player I understand.

Member5 games isn’t high. Stuff like that makes the league look bad and we lose fans who aren’t already involved and invested in hockey. I hope some of the spit bounced off the cage and hit him in the face!

MemberWhat sort of sicko spits on someone?
Good to see such idiotic behaviour gets a decent reprimand.

ModeratorAre those bans final? Or is there a period available for appeal?
July 8, 2010 at 11:37 pm #15961nzice
MemberThere is an appeal process, yes. I know that at least one Sth Island team has used it when there have been disciplinary’s in Auckland. I am not sure if there is a register of disciplinarys. It would be good to see a country view.

[/quote:3r4f033n]That was for a fight though was it not? (stampede vs admirals 07). More easily defensible than a flying loogie.
