Who is going to win this weekend?
Anyone can jump up the ladder with two wins this weekend! Will the Swarm continue their dominate display or will the Thunder upset them at the Hive?
Will the Admirals spoil the party at the Stampede’s Winter Festival?
June 28, 2010 at 11:39 pm #15831thirteenMemberThe Thunder have now found form and will take that back to Auckland this weekend, will be two very tough hard fought games but the men from the south will prevail
June 28, 2010 at 11:47 pm #15832Azzy77ModeratorKudos on the good poll format plod….
I think Stampeders to beat Admirals, admirals seem on way down….
Thunder and Swarm to be close battles, I vote Thunder to win by heart, but games could easily go either way….
June 28, 2010 at 11:54 pm #15833KyleMemberI’ve got Stampede over admirals, Thunder and Swarm to split.
Red Devils seem to making a real mess of my early season finals prediction with their mid-season “actually we’re still quite a good team, first weekend was an exception” thing. Bastards.
June 29, 2010 at 4:04 am #15834Azzy77ModeratorI see there were two “gross misconduct” (sic) handed out in Auckland in weekend?
A/ I thought those got removed from rulebook
B/ Does anyone know if that means suspensions?
With none of the games being televised and us relying on game reports, do people think the league should have a section on the website advertising suspensions for the rounds so people know. To avoid situations like last year when Braden Lee played one period of a game when he was suspended?
I was just curious?June 29, 2010 at 4:31 am #15835vpatrolMemberI think the more information available, the better it will be. I think they should publish properly formatted game sheets too.
June 29, 2010 at 4:33 am #15836vpatrolMembersplitsville for both sets of games for me.
June 29, 2010 at 4:40 am #15837plod16MemberScore sheet says that two players were assessed with roughing 5+game misconducts. The only other option above that is, is to assess them with Match Penalties, then there would be automatic suspensions.
A written reports (as per Rules and Regulations) has to be sent to the local convenor within 2 hours of the game’s conclusion.
I would imagine the higher beings would only intravene and have a hearing should the players reappear on the reports week in and out.
The Aussie league has a condensed score sheet available on their website.
June 29, 2010 at 7:07 am #15838thirteenMemberTHe last rule book we looked at had no 5 minute major with a game misconduct. A match penalty DID have a 5 minute penalty. is this the case here or are our rules slightly different
Im with Azzy, good poll format
June 29, 2010 at 8:44 am #15839KyleMemberWhat rule book is that? The 5 minute major + automatic game misconduct is still in the iihf rule book.
June 29, 2010 at 10:58 am #15840thirteenMembersure, you want to check that? it wasnt in the 2006-2010 that i was looking at the other day
June 29, 2010 at 11:51 am #15841KyleMemberRule 503, page 57.
July 1, 2010 at 9:19 pm #15842jamrockMemberswarm to take both games, admirals and stampede to split their games
July 1, 2010 at 10:00 pm #15843plod16MemberMight as well throw out that 06-10 rule book 13, cos we are now using the 10-14 one!!
Think that you might find that almost all penalties in the last couple of editions of the rule book have carried major plus GM in them. The last change to the major+GM was when they made charging, clipping, hooking and tripping come in line with all the other penalties that have the 5+GM, prior to that edition, you could only give a major for those four penalties.
Maybe your rule book still has centre line offside (two line pass) in it!!

[/quote:2slpd5nc]I don’t think the IIHF rule book ever had the two lice pass rule did it? I think that was just an NHL rule.
