Can the manager of the 2nd SNC team that is playing in the SIHL 2 weeks from now, please get in contact with me ASAP. Or can somebody let me know who it is.
The reason for this is that Joyce has asked whether the two Dunedin teams can play on the Saturday night (about 8ish) rather than 8am on the Sunday. However she needs to know ASAP as the draw is to be posted on Tuesday.
Both teams will need to agree to this.
April 13, 2008 at 10:36 am #8462KyleMemberI presume the Graham Phipps-Black is organising this.
In as much as organising probably means “no one has even thought about the team yet”.
April 13, 2008 at 11:35 am #8463CrashMemberYeah I PM Graham so hopefully he gets back to me.
April 13, 2008 at 10:13 pm #8464ActiveMemberHi MArk
I just sent u a confusing e-mail because I thought you were talking about this coming weekend. Yes I am the manager. I dont see a problem playing on Saturday night and I will contact everyone else. Kyle your playing for the 2nd SNC team are you?. I presume the penguins is the name.April 13, 2008 at 11:16 pm #8465CrashMemberSweet as Graham I’ll let Joyce know that it should be fine. But I won’t set it in concrete till tomorrow when you have had the chance to get some replies from your team.
April 13, 2008 at 11:18 pm #8466KyleMemberUmm.
I can probably play the Dunedin round. I’m not playing the other 5 though. Stupid schedule.
April 23, 2008 at 4:32 am #8467twoleftsMemberhow do people who registered to play in a now defunct team get to play in another team? I registered to play for the womens team… ” title=”Undecided” />
April 23, 2008 at 5:18 am #8468CrashMemberI’m not sure. I didn’t even know there was a womans team in the SIHL. You could talk to Graham he may have room on his team.
April 25, 2008 at 8:33 pm #8469ActiveMemberHi Kara
Sorry havnt replied as I havnt been around. I think we have a full roster for 2 nites game but we may be short 2morrow if you want a game. It will be against Gore and they may be a bit argy bargy but if you would like a game, tommorow at 9.30. I spose the question to be asked is if there is enough people to form a third SNC team.April 26, 2008 at 12:12 am #8470imported_RyanMember"leftright":3u1hbvuc wrote:I spose the question to be asked is if there is enough people to form a third SNC team.[/quote:3u1hbvuc]I assumed you guys would be short on players this year due to the schedule change. Is there an excess now?

[/quote:2ncsl0ww]We were told by Jackie when we registered that if they canceled the womens league, they would stick us in another team. None of us have heard anything about it since.

April 26, 2008 at 4:20 am #8473ActiveMemberWell said Ryan
April 26, 2008 at 6:15 am #8474ChrisMemberKara, if it weren’t for the fact that our team manager, Mark hareb, is “in the loop” and is conscientious enough to organise these things on our behalf, I wouldn’t have even known about the SIHL, let alone known who to contact about getting into a team.
As usual, the information doesn’t flow.
April 26, 2008 at 7:50 am #8475imported_RyanMemberIf any of you out there are interested in playing SNC grade, it is probably a good idea to dump posts in here from time to time outlining that you are interested in playing. If you don’t, and are ‘out of the loop’, you will probably never get to play.
Reading the first post in this topic is a good demonstration of how difficult the communication lines are. Mark (the Beasts team manager) had to make a public announcement just to find out who the other Dunedin team manager was … if one of the team managers doesn’t know what’s going on, how the heck are the players supposed to find out?
PS: This only applies to the SNC teams, I haven’t been involved with the other grades.
