Pres didn’t say he wasn’t supporting Thunder, just predicting outcome. ” title=”Wink” />
May 31, 2010 at 11:02 pm #15445KyleMemberPres will be wearing a stripey top, so shouldn’t look like he’s supporting anyone ” title=”Smiley” />
May 31, 2010 at 11:12 pm #15446Azzy77ModeratorIts a good thing there is money exchanged in these score predictions, seeing as there are at least two stripy tops, and potentially one penalty box attendant here.
Otherwise Gunther might have a scandal like the NBA had a couple of years ago on his hands.
Yeah I agree with Vpatrol on this one, you can support one team but think another will win. Its Heart vs Head.
May 31, 2010 at 11:31 pm #15447vpatrolMemberI support the Oilers but know what all we ever win anymore is draft picks.
June 1, 2010 at 7:30 pm #15448GasmanMemberThunder to win 3-2. this will be the score after two periods and the third and final period will be a nailbiter, as our goal is peppered from shots out wide as the defense muscles up holds strong and get physical in and around the net keeping the Stampede Boys optionless in front of goal. Dissapointing was the Thunder attack just not finding there way in the third and the credit for the win is going to come down to the Blue line boys for hanging tough. There was a heart stopping moment for the Thunder as a penalty shot was awarded with 93 seconds remaining on the clock due to a suspect tripping call, but the Stampede foward muffed his shot going to high and wide. The crowd stood as one, hooted and hollered till the countdown for the final whisle. They knew there boys just might have the Steel and skills to this year make more than a few ripples in the NZIHL. [/quote:q07i8boq]That’s a sad commentary on Thunder ticket sales over the past 2 seasons. The one fan that did come to the game has been very supportive though. ” title=”Smiley” />
June 1, 2010 at 10:51 pm #15451thirteenMembervpatrol, im pretty sure our crowds were almost always bigger than chch but since we actually have a grandstand it looks like there’s no one there. if the chch rink wasnt patheticly small your crowds mite look woeful too,as it is you have an advantage on us there. im picking sell out crowds for the final in dunedin later this year
June 2, 2010 at 12:13 am #15452imported_RyanMemberThe last few crowds I saw at Thunder games were rather pitiful, much less than a packed out crowd in Christchurch would be and from what I’ve heard, most of the Christchurch games were pretty full.
June 2, 2010 at 12:48 am #15453vpatrolMemberyeah Devils numbers were good all year. Worst crowds were against thunder though. I’m sure devils topped most if not all teams in ticket sales.
June 2, 2010 at 1:19 am #15454ReganMemberFair enough when its like 10+ goals to 0. You can come watch seeing you wont be playing this year Vince. Support will grow when we get results.
June 2, 2010 at 1:42 am #15455vpatrolMemberThunder is the team I’m looking forward to seeing most. I hope you shock some people and are in the mix this year. I think you have some good pieces in place this season.

[/quote:24ubcce5]We let Thirteen count the crowds last year….it made us feel better about ourselves.
1,2,3,50,26,3000,400
Hey guys there are over 400 people out there.
June 2, 2010 at 4:20 am #15457vpatrolMemberdoes 3000 count as thunders crowd or IB’s crowd?
June 2, 2010 at 4:27 am #15458Azzy77ModeratorI think you misunderstand that was Thirteens counting skill, not actual crowd figures.
