What the f**k??!! No ones replying to me as to how the team played!
Did we not have a coach on the bench for the whole 3rd period??!!
That better not be true?

[/quote:1jdyc6d4]Well coach Simon Christos did pretty well in his first game as head coach. The player suffered a mild concussion in game one and was thrown into the role of coach in the 3rd period keeping the heart of the team strong. Definitely an inspiring story for anyone who was there.
June 28, 2009 at 7:55 pm #11839kelf6966MemberSorry, I was there and was not inspired!
Can’t think you can call an 11 – 0 drubbing inspiring story.Disney only want the story if you win!
June 28, 2009 at 8:18 pm #11840Rhys MMemberCoachs leaving the bench in the middle of the game, far from impressed and people wonder why supporters dont travel 3 hours to support. Would you do that just to see that carry on? I wouldnt. It was disapointing to see no coaching staff on the bench, but thanks to simon for stepping up. With no coaching staffon the bench it wasnt a good look at all, it really looked a weekend warriors out for a chip around instead of a national leauge team.
Hopefully we can sort this stuff before the next game

[/quote:trmmzku9]Simon says that he started playing hockey after seeing the Mighty Ducks movie.
That’s not too far off Ducks 2, when Charlie gives up his spot so that the star player, returning from injury, can play, and helps coach instead.
Except Charlie wasn’t injured. And Emilio didn’t leave the bench. But otherwise close!
June 29, 2009 at 12:27 am #11842ActiveMemberDoes this mean they have walked out for good?. Not particulary team inspiring stuff. Theres lots learning for both caoches and players I feel.
June 29, 2009 at 9:51 am #11843ZanzibarMemberWell it is sad to see Thunder this way, I miss the team from last year.
One more thing, why does Vince have control of the forum when he doesnt even play or live in Dunedin?????? Not trying to be mean Vince but i think this is a fact?June 29, 2009 at 9:57 am #11844imported_RyanMemberI was wondering how long it would take for someone to question that ” title=”Tongue” />
He’s just a moderator. I don’t think it matters where the moderators are from as long as they can remove inappropriate posts and spam when needed. We can track exactly what is moved where, plus the forum is about to be moved to an external site anyway and will not be affiliated with Dunedin anymore. Vince uses the forum more than most of our other members so it made sense for him to have the ability to moderate posts.
FYI, from what I’ve heard via the grapevine, things are not as bad as what has been posted above.
June 29, 2009 at 10:04 am #11845Defense101MemberI wonder where you’re getting your info from then. Players have definitely not been to happy I know that I am not the only one.
June 29, 2009 at 10:14 am #11846imported_RyanMemberI didn’t say they aren’t happy, just that things are not as bad as was posted above.

[/quote:27r4el8b]I don’t control anything by the way. I pulled something from public view for other moderators to look at. It’s not deleted. Also being on the outside looking in, I’m a decent opinion on what is going to make Dunedin hockey look bad and what is appropriate. Plus I’m old and learned rules on how to play nice a while ago!

That way if mistakes are made by moderators they can be easily rectified and the posts/topics returned back where they came from.
The only ones who can delete anything are administrators (Kyle and myself), but we generally never delete posts unless they are blatant spam. Moderated posts by regular users remain forever more in a private junk forum.
June 29, 2009 at 11:28 pm #11849ZanzibarMemberWell ok you made your point, dont get your panties in a twist lol. Vince are you playing in Inline Nationals and if so with what team?
I am playing for Renegades, its guna be mean!!June 29, 2009 at 11:42 pm #11850vpatrolMemberIf my panties were previously in a twist, that could explain certain behavior. I’m never happy when my undies are all bunched up. You?
I’m playing for the Snipers at nationals. I think we get to play the Brazil team that’s coming over. Should be good! We weren’t happy with 2nd place last year. Anything short of 1st is a waste of time for us.
June 30, 2009 at 12:31 am #11851imported_RyanMemberCool, the Snipers. I didn’t realise you played inline hockey. Say hi to John Thomsen for me (I assume he still plays for them).
