Some of the points bought up in this page are absolutely ridiculous. Like V patrol earlier said this league is so very dependant on who turns up on the night. Who gets the bounces on the night! Although we were awesome against the swarm in that close one I think we are looking into it to much! By the sounds of it we were out played, and can thank Rick alot for that result! As last nights game showed the two teams are pretty even! And It will again show for the rest of the series the winner will be who wants it most! And as for the comment about a weakness of Mike Parsons, Idiot!

July 5, 2009 at 7:27 am #11994cowgirlMember5-1 end of 2nd
July 5, 2009 at 7:30 am #11995cowgirlMemberOh, to the Admirals
July 5, 2009 at 8:07 am #11996cowgirlMemberFinal score 7 – 5 to the Admirals
July 5, 2009 at 8:09 am #11997plod16MemberApparently the Admirals had it in the bag at 6-2 but dropped their bundle with a couple to go.
July 5, 2009 at 8:19 am #11998plod16MemberThink that the next two rounds in Christchurch will sort the men from the boys and show who is REALLY likely to win the league. Devils will need to be on their game to beat the Swarm in their rink, they are not the easy beats from the first round in Auckland. Stampede Devils will be close fought thing with only one or two in it.Any of these 3 teams can/will win on the day and it will depend on who is in the right frame of mind.

Swarm have the skill to put thunder/adrimals down even on a bad day that they dont turn up, i would say that swarm turned up unprepared and expected a walk but Thunder gave them something to play good on them for that,
July 7, 2009 at 2:34 am #12000Azzy77ModeratorYea…
The weekend was a shame… and rather indicative of the Thunders season to date.
The puck bounces the right way for admirals they take advantage of it. The puck bounces for thunder they don’t capitalise. And at this level that is the difference. Honestly the thunder where just as much in that game as the Admirals were if not more at some points. But the way they took there opportunities was the difference. Although Thunder scoring 4 goals on Mike Parsons in under 2 minutes was a good sign for the up coming weekend.
The bounces also cost us in every other game I have seen with the exception of the first one against Canterbury. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think we deserved to win those games, just i don’t think we deserved to lose that badly.

[/quote:2la0vkuc]Well 7-5 is a decent scoreline, looks like Thunder are at least getting some shots on goal. It would be nice to see a win though! ” title=”Cheesy” />

maybe some different coaching may help. You woul be suprised what a difference that can make sometimes, some time this year for you guys is to find that
July 7, 2009 at 4:20 am #12003thirteenMemberChinstrap, different coaching would not be beneficial for the team at this stage of the season. What we need to do is play every game like the last few minutes of the 2nd game, because we can. We have a damn good team when we play as hard and well as our abilities let us, we just need to do it. its simple as that and every player on the team knows it. if you were in auckland you would know it
July 7, 2009 at 7:22 am #12004Jofa playaMemberthirteen, what about all the other games
July 7, 2009 at 8:00 am #12005Chin StrapMember13 if you watched any NHL this year you would know that the penguins were second last in there division (i think) sacked the coach with about 20 odd game to go at which point they werent in the playoffs, new coach new dynamics and he took them to the finals and won thats a difference that can happen
July 7, 2009 at 8:08 am #12006imported_RyanMemberThe Penguins have spare coaching staff. I’m not sure about the Thunder though.
