Thunder coming off the back of a respectable loss to Stampede, followed by one sided affair on Sunday. The Red Devils show trucks on, having beaten Swarm twice up in Auckland.
Last time these two teams played it was round two and there was enough light between the two teams to drive a Zamboni through. Thunder looked like they’d stepped up to the plate on Saturday, but slipped back again on Sunday. Can they make a game of it in Devils territory?
I went for the minor option. Thunder looked pretty good on Saturday, they’ve got two good front line goalies and if their team D steps up they can hold Canterbury down.
If they play at 98%, they’ll be looking up a sorry scoreboard both games. Canterbury hasn’t won all but one game this season through luck.
Thunder seems to play the first game of the weekend better than the second, so I’m picking first game will be 6-2, the second 9 – 1.
I’m going to step out onto a limb and say devils win 2. Scores are hard to predict since its determined by what teams show on the day.
2 what Vince?, 2 nil? , is that the first game or second or……….
The devils winning both games on home ice is hardly out on a limb Vince.

What the hell happen to the Swarm in the weekend – did they play their B – Team or what?
Minor ass-whip I reckon, but a whipping nonetheless. The Devils are my pick to take out the top spot this year, and I doubt the Thunder will be able to stop them. Still, I definitely know which team I’m cheering for!

Its hard to do sarcasm on a forum. You end up looking like a wump which come to think of it you look like when doing sarcasm in real life but in a different way. The thunder will win 2-0. Now was that sarcasm, optimism or just confusing for the people who dont know if im referring to the scoreline in one game or the number of games the thunder will win

for the more discerning reader, winning 2 is generally pretty straight forward. Winning 2-0 is a little bit trickier. In most cases though, I would say a scoreline of 2 to 0 since you have included 2 figures. The tricky part comes in when you include the words “Thunder” and “win”.
