As far as I am aware there is no social game on Saturdays. Sunday is now available from 7pm if we wish. I prefer the sunday games as many do and am prepared to collect money if thats all it takes. So any one for Sundays
GrahamJune 7, 2007 at 3:18 am #4810JackMemberYea im all for sunday night social hockey sessions as oppose to having it on saturday night.
June 7, 2007 at 4:37 am #4811CrashMemberThe reason it is a Saturday is because Neil made a deal and said ‘that we can use that ice time even if only 1 player turns up’, and he won’t charge us the full $150.
But I was talking to Phil the other day to see about whether he can give us the same deal on the Sunday night now the DIHL has finished. But at the moment it is 7.30pm Saturday night.
June 7, 2007 at 4:44 am #4812KyleMemberThe other thing is, it’ll have to switch back to Saturday at some point in the future, as Sunday is going to be swallowed up by organised hockey again – once the DIHL starts again, or something else. There are simply no other nights available for organised hockey when high schools is on.
Saturday night is available most nights throughout the year, and it might be better not to keep swapping it back and forth between the two.

[/quote:2z2gxbe2]Graham would you be available on the Saturday night to collect money and groom the ice as Neil wants to go home at 7.30pm and not hang around till we are finished. Otherwise the scrimmage would have to take place at 5.15 straight after the public session.

[/quote:1e40kn3a]I’d doubt it. I usually get emailed a few days beforehand saying that the social game time has been changed whenever the midgets league runs in the later time slot.

June 9, 2007 at 2:43 am #4818CrashMemberI don’t know according to Jackie Neil is been Neil and won’t stay for the 7.30pm slot unless I can get a hold of some1 else who can groom the ice afterwards.
I don’t want to argue with Neil to find no one is going to turn up tonight.
June 9, 2007 at 4:16 am #4819imported_RyanMemberSession canceled. In fact it was never on in the first place apparently!?!? – [b:38v7o7s1]not the web admins fault however![/b:38v7o7s1]
Notice will be placed on the home page announcing as such shortly.

June 9, 2007 at 9:21 am #4820KyleMemberIt was on some time ago, I saw people going on the ice after a midgets house league game once.
I presume it was cancelled some time after the dihl started.
If people want a night, why don’t they go for Tuesday night. We know it’s available and it’s free all year. Saturday gets wiped out sometimes for other things.
June 9, 2007 at 11:40 am #4821Azzy77ModeratorUm i think there is talk of the Premier team getting a second practise on tuesday night??
But I guess there is a whole evening, but I know the Prems would probably perfer earlier time slot…not sure if this going ahead just letting you know that this may happen
