Looks like the Southern Stampede have their own website now:
http://www.southernstampede.co.nz/
Looks nice and has full stats and pictures of all the players.
July 2, 2009 at 8:01 am #12035Jofa playaMemberI just went on it and it looks great what a great bunch of hockey players they have in that team, Do our boys have a thunder website up and running?
July 2, 2009 at 8:04 am #12036imported_RyanMemberYes … http://dunedinthunder.co.nz/
The Southern Stampede one is a lot better though.
July 2, 2009 at 8:05 am #12037Jofa playaMemberI just check that site and its out of date by about a year, who runs it?
July 2, 2009 at 8:16 am #12038imported_RyanMemberI was contracted to knock something together a quick site for them before their first game last season and the person who started updating it is no longer involved with the Thunder. I also provide their hosting account but am not involved with updating it.
The last post on there was by Aaron (Azzy77) I think. Perhaps he will know more about what is going on with the site.
[b:3bh4bbe9]Random aside:[/b:3bh4bbe9] If anyone out there is wanting cheap web hosting for an NZ based hockey site, let me know as I own a small web hosting company and am happy to provide ridiculously cheap rates for local hockey sites.
July 2, 2009 at 8:22 am #12039imported_RyanMemberFYI, in case you haven’t seen it already, we have a links page here … https://slapshot.hellyer.kiwi/page/4/
If anyone has extra links that would be suitable for the page, please post them below and I’ll add them to the page.
July 2, 2009 at 8:32 am #12040imported_RyanMemberAfter my last post I decided to update the links page with some inline hockey clubs.
I was quite impressed with the Rimutaka Renegades[/url:3akzqodd] site, it’s very slick!
July 2, 2009 at 9:10 am #12041Puck LoverMemberYou would think if the team could afford new jerseys, The best rink in the country, then they could do something as simple as a website! The stampede website looks awesome they seem to have alot goin for them this year!

[/quote:vxkx3cb9]This is true, a stunning website would really complete the package and put the icing on the cake
July 2, 2009 at 9:16 am #12043Jofa playaMemberThats true, But what would also help would be if the team would win a game or atleast put forward some competition
July 2, 2009 at 9:22 am #12044imported_RyanMemberThe Stampede have Emma Newall on hand to help with building their site. I don’t know anyone involved with the Thunder who would be able to do that.
If they started updating their existing site and came up with a good graphic design I’d probably code it up for them if they wanted.
In the mean time you can track some of their activities on the Dunedin Ice Hockey Association website (http://dunedinicehockey.hellyer.kiwi/). I’d like to have more information on there, player profiles, photos etc. but the Thunder team doesn’t provide us with any of that information unfortunately.
July 2, 2009 at 9:26 am #12045Puck LoverMemberI think that is a good idea and a huge thing Ryan has offered to do for the club. Cheers mate we should take him up on this for sure. Not taking anything away from the forum though we are extremely lucky to have this awesome service
July 2, 2009 at 9:28 am #12046imported_RyanMemberLol, not really. Coding is easy, designing is hard. And you should note the “if they started updating their existing site and came up with a [b:2nvv9kvd]good[/b:2nvv9kvd] graphic design” proviso.
July 2, 2009 at 9:29 am #12047Jofa playaMemberI agree, ryan your a star keep it up man your pushing dunedin hockey that much further
July 2, 2009 at 9:31 am #12048ButtEndMemberOnward and upward, it all starts here!
