ModeratorProblem with it being on sky sport 3, you have to pick your pubs carefully…..because not all have sky sport 3….

MemberThe Terrace sounds good to me since it’s just around the corner from my place.
The Cook had Sky the last time I was there, god knows how long that was though.
EDIT: I don’t know if they had Sky Sport 3 last time I was there.
EDIT 2: I’m about to go for lunch over in that direction so I’ll stop by and ask on the way past.

[/quote:wujp3ugz]I’m going for penguins myself. Hoping they reverse last year’s result, but that it goes to 7 games.

MemberThe Cook does not have Sky Sport 3 but they took my phone number and the guy will see if he can get it hooked up for the Stanley Cup. It doesn’t sound promising though.
What about Eureka?
May 29, 2009 at 4:21 am #11193Kyle
MemberEureka will probably be tricky. They tend to be full at lunch and I’m not sure if they’ll want people coming there just to watch the tv and have a drink. Might work. I don’t know if they get the full sky package though.
What about Baaaa Bar or whatever it’s called? Couple of blocks off campus but not too far.
May 29, 2009 at 6:21 am #11194imported_Ryan
MemberThe Baa bar does indeed have Sky Sport 3 apparently.

MemberHey guys,
Talked to a guy I know called Yaz who manages Southern Break, and hes all good to open up for us on Sunday if we have enough people to make it worth his while. ie. buy drinks.
They dont normally open on Sunday unless something is on, so as long as we have say, 20 people, and we are wanting to actually buy drinks, rather than just sit there, he will be all good to open up for us.
Just an option but need to know by tomorrow night, would be far better than the baa, as I should be able to get it put on the Big Screen at Break which would be pretty good.
Let me know, maybe everyone could bring a friend, girlfriend, f**k buddy, or whatever to boost the numbers. Yaz makes a smashing cocktail for the ladies out there.

MemberI presume we’ll have enough people for that, does he do food as well?

ModeratorTerrace sent me an email saying they will have the game on regardless of numbers…
May 29, 2009 at 11:22 pm #11199imported_Ryan
MemberTerrace tomorrow at noon then I guess

MemberLooks like tomorrows game is on Sky sport one, which might make it easier to find someone playing it…?
May 31, 2009 at 3:43 am #11201imported_Ryan
MemberThat definitely helps then! What bars are open? I assume most of them have Sky Sport 1.
