    Devils trip up to Auckland to take on third place Swarm. Swarm probably need to pick up some points here to have a chance of making the final. Your thoughts?

    I’ve split my series. Think Swarm will know they need to get up for one game and squeeze through, and then fall over in the second by a few goals.

    I’ll explain this one Kyle so you can avoid the banging your head against the wall.

    Devils stomp the Swarm 2-0 means they will win 2 games to the Swarm’s 0 by scorelines that could be defined as a “stomp”.  I’ll settle for 2 close wins though!

    Devils win 7 2 over Swarm, 8 minors each way and Devils led from start.

    1st Period went to Swarm – both where the game was played, and shots on
    2nd Period – Devils took their opportunities – and scored in all of them – clinical – Swarm had lots of pens in 2nd
    3rd Period – Devils again outplayed Swarm – and finished well

    Despite that canterbury is technically the enemy and their goalie Vince once touched me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable, I actually quite like the Devils, and I’m glad they’re getting the wins they deserve.
