Running costs are much lower with a concrete pad. The ice is rougly 4.5 inches at the moment with a sand base. A typical concrete pad is about 1 inch thick. Easier to keep that frozen.
How bout the scrap ae, ex dunedin, now christchurch player he looks like he’s about 110kgs he got done by swarms small guy that looks like he’s about 80kgs. That big guy got done having to skate round and pick his gear up at the end.

I’ve seen Jacque fight once before, a prem game in Dunedin when Ryan O’Keefe (currently Stampede) took offence to a hit or something and started something that Jacque definitely finished. Ryan took a real pounding.

good that theres not, good for the players. there shouldnt be a suspension as its an over kill for such a small incident
Yeah I thought it was an auto suspension too. I’m sure if players knew there wasn’t then there would be a lot more of them.
Can someone who knows please enlighten us about automatic fighting suspensions?
Whether they exist or not???Because I don’t think there should be, but if it is in the rules and being looked over it is not an even playing field for all teams, its a dangerous precedent.
Anyone who fights now can say well I won’t serve any suspension because jacques and swarm guy didn’t…..
