MemberWhat does everyone think? After Stampede back up from a tough couple of games against Canterbury, are Dunedin going to be competitive?

MemberThe Canty games were tough but not physically tough like the Botany games they had in Q/town. Stampede will take both.

MemberI haven’t seen Thunder since the Canterbury games (I was away when they played Admirals), so I’m looking forward to a big improvement from the team after the break.
Stampede certainly sound like they’re determined to play in the final again, for Thunder to be close they’ll again be relying on Parry to carry a big load. I think Stampede will win both games but Thunder will keep the score down.

MemberI agree
Stampede have too much experience and class to lose. Thunder may run one game close but the other may get away on them. It would be a surprise if they won one but it could happen if the Stampede let their guard downJuly 28, 2009 at 4:39 am #13247jamrock
Memberstampede will dominate in every category especially in scoreline

MemberI’m going for the underdogs to win one but I won’t put even a dollar on it. Stampede on a bad day are hard to handle. I don’t think they are too worried and rightly so. Thunder need some more players and a different approach to compete. Next year maybe.

MemberI picked “They’ll be OK, but still lose by at least 5.”. The Thunder will be well aware that they’re the underdogs and I assume will be aiming to defend as strongly as possible. They’ve got a good goalie and seem to be able to shut the other teams down when they’re not trying to hard to score, so I think that should be enough to keep the damage below 10 points. I’m not holding my breathe for too many goals from the Thunder though. Hopefully they will suprise us!

MemberConsidering that, the sport is ice hockey, and the team is the dunedin thunder…
One would have to think the only way the thunder could win is if the stampede had either a 3 year old or maybe vince in net.

Thunder are no easy beats, and the coaching staff will not let the boys go in thinking that way.
We do not want to be the 3rd team to lose to the Thunder!Who was the first team to lose to the Thunder
