Hey guys after the first season opener in Botany what do you think will happen for the Thunder again the Red Devils. Post your votes and explain why you voted for what you are did if you have enough balls that is!
June 18, 2009 at 2:02 am #11600vpatrolMember3 try victory for the devils on both games.
June 18, 2009 at 2:19 am #11601Defense101MemberLooks like one person was already to scared to comment on why they voted for what they did. Forums are about opinions and sharing what you think sharing your votes is great but would love to hear why you voted for what you did.
June 18, 2009 at 2:23 am #11602KyleMemberI’m picking a split. Across the scoresheet Canterbury probably have a better team, but Thunder will playing big for their first home games and it sounds like Parry played a blinder in the second game in Auckland to keep his team in it. Hope there’s a big crowd.
I’m thinking Canterbury will take the opener, Dunedin the Sunday game once they find their wheels and get a bit fired up.
There’s a bunch of ex-Dunedinites in the Canterbury squad – Jacques, Paris, Vince, Toby. The ex-Thunder goalies returning home to take on their old team. Oh the drama!
(Number of times local linesmen end up on their asses: 2 each game.)
(Hey, my post is coming, it’s quality not quantity Marc!)
June 18, 2009 at 2:27 am #11603Defense101MemberHaha thanks kyle sorry for the premature ejectory blob on posting when you vote. Apparently it’s Vince and Justin playing on the weekend Toby isn’t playing which I am kinda disappointed about I think Vince and Toby should both play to make the serious more dramatic and entertaining! But good reasons I like it!
June 18, 2009 at 2:37 am #11604vpatrolMemberToby will get some time I imagine when he trains with the team. Hard to play a goalie who you haven’t seen this year!
I chose the Devils for both because I’m a Red Devil and I don’t ever like thinking I will lose a game before I play in it! I lose respect for any player at this level who doesn’t go in thinking they can and will win.

June 18, 2009 at 3:39 am #11606ActiveMemberOn paper the Devils are a stronger team and should win both comfortably so im going for 2 nil to the thunder
June 18, 2009 at 4:08 am #11607KyleMemberActually I want to change my vote to
Devils: 1
Thunder: 1
Emersons Organic Pilsner at $3: 4,927,012,952.5Best beer ever.
June 18, 2009 at 5:40 am #11608imported_RyanMemberDevils: 1
Thunder: 1
Linesman errors due to $3 Emersons: 4,927,012,952.5June 18, 2009 at 5:48 am #11609imported_RyanMemberI actually chose “I’m more exciting about people changing their relationship status on facebook!!!”. I’m more interested in seeing a good game than taking notice of the score. Years of losing by ridiculously large margins in hockey has left me in a withered state, prepared to accept any score as long as it isn’t in the triple digits.
June 18, 2009 at 7:04 am #11610sparkeeMemberWhats with the “local linsmen mistakes”???

Everyone knows that drinking beer makes the world feel a lot slower; that has to make following the game a lot easier doesn’t it?
