15 – 2 to Canterbury. I think Thunder played a bit better, but Canterbury stepped it up as well. They’re looking very sharp.
The bar was closed by the time I was finished. That’s a serious flaw.
Got all my calls OK, don’t think I got hit by the puck once, but I got in the way of the players a couple of times. Fell over once for no good reason.
We’ve been called up again for next weekend Thunder vs Stampede in Queenstown, Mike’s going to answer the call.

Thunder did play better sunday. Especially the third period. There was a bit more pressure. Hopefully you can repeat your Auckland weekend when you play Southern. Give them a run.
Looking at the Canterbury team and their depth and skill in NZ born players it became apparent that the ability to compete at this level lies with our peewees and the coaching that they are geting now. Thunder were out played by better skilled players who knew how to play the game with vision and pace.

” title=”Wink” /> Some silly rule about being 16 or something. You’ll be seeing a couple of them in 2013 or 2014 though I’m sure.Duncan always looks like he’s enjoying himself playing his hockey. He’s always got a grin when he takes the puck out from behind the net and up ice, and he pokes his tongue out (like in the photo) a lot.

yea, heads are up. it was a bit of a strange feeling because it felt like we were playing quite well, a lot better than the score reflected. they are a good team though you are right.
Reffing yesterday was a thing of beauty and although you had a couple of trips Kyle I think your fellow linesmen or ref shoulda told you about Eaden creeping up behind you. In anycase we do have lots to think about and try to straighten out. We definitely played better Sunday but so did the Devils. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the team and sorry for not a better show (guess I’m repeating what blake and aaron said) we all appreciate everything the club, fans and sponsors have done for us and hopefully we’ll do you proud very soon.
