If I had the old canucks jersey, I would change it too. I suspect the next group of thunder players would be the same. Look at original 6 teams. How different are their jerseys from the original?
Point being is that if I was growing a team, I want control of the image. I don’t want someone elses image dominating mine. Sponsorship is important however there are other ways of achieving it. The other 4 teams in the league haven’t splattered their jerseys yet.
When the french league is a league worthy of emulating, I’ll take a look at their jerseys. It’s like saying, those mogolians sure have got it right, let’s follow them! ” title=”Wink” />

[/quote:35h5yqw6]I’m not really sure what this discussion is achieving. The cost to enter a team in the national league is quite high, a lot of this comes from the players. If putting a bunch of logos on the top and around the rink reduces this cost to the players, great. Sure it might not look as good, but for a few hundreds bucks less cost I wouldn’t care what I skated in.
Good on Thunder for getting out there and signing up the companies. If other teams want to do something different, good for them.

[/quote:1cvod8lk]Because national league is more important than the players competing this year.
