June 2, 2009 at 1:13 am #11349AnonymousInactiveI’am not a parent but I have played and helped out a lot in this club.
And I am not saying that it is bad if players wouldn’t want to help with the Peewee team. But maybe they would enjoy it. Yes it is up to them and Thunder is a big commitment in itself.June 2, 2009 at 1:17 am #11350vpatrolMember"Kyle":32fw4hub wrote:"vpatrol":32fw4hub wrote:sometimes the trolls need to be exposed so that the non trolls are seen in a proper light.

[/quote:32fw4hub]I don’t think its an internet question. It’s someone who doesn’t want to name him/herself who claims to live in Dunedin and plays at the rink. It’s not even a qtown kid. Feel free to accept it but others aren’t obligated to follow the same path. If someone said that to you in person at the rink and you were a stakeholder, would you walk away and not say a word? This is pretty close.
June 2, 2009 at 5:40 am #11351imported_RyanMemberThe big question is … who is the troll?
June 2, 2009 at 5:52 am #11352Defense101MemberI think that a lot of Thunder players are involved and the coaching and management is as well. Jens, Blake, Richie, Jordan has helped with coaching, Simon runs the rink, Jackie Steve, Aaron, Mike and Izzy help with scoring for Dihl games I believe I have helped with coaching. The effort is definitely there to help with the club when they need it and people are keen to help but many of the players on the team have jobs or go to school and have assignments and study. If peewee hockey asks for the teams help at a time where players actually can help I know that everyone on the team would be more then willing to help especially with Peewee level to help promote the game. As for the team last year as opposed to this year I think that we have a great great great team (3x great means winning crew)who are all incredably dedicated. We want to win this year and bring a lot more attention to Dunedin hockey which I think is going to be one of the biggest things this club needs. Dunedin needs more attention and have players want to come here and with all of the effort that everyone on the team has been putting forward I think we are going to accomplish that. Lastly I know that the topic has kinda been settled but I think that a real bs claim to make if you really spent lots of time at the rink. Thunder players are almost always around and if you knew anything about the team last year and this year you would see a difference in the moral and how hard we are all working.

why dont you just balls up and say who you are…….everyones entitled to a opinion, just because yours is different or whatever doesnt matter.
as the name would suggest im Rhys
June 2, 2009 at 10:32 am #11354AnonymousInactiveWell it seems we have started to go off topic. I do realise that the Thunder players are helping out and that, but, the main point is that it has affected everything else in the club. What does it matter who I am, this is not about me, it’s about hockey and the club.
Ps I am not a troll, I am a Banana….Thank you. ” title=”Roll Eyes” />June 2, 2009 at 6:46 pm #11355battered_and_bruisedMemberIt has not affected the club at all, in fact it has benefited the club and most likely has saved it.

June 2, 2009 at 11:27 pm #11358battered_and_bruisedMemberSorry, perhaps I should have put negative affect. That is what I was meaning. Dammit Vince, can’t you read my mind? Bloody goalies!!!
June 2, 2009 at 11:52 pm #11359AnonymousInactiveHey Ryan Wick an Vince . I don’t think you are here, so can you really make a judgement of how the club is doing now?
June 3, 2009 at 1:46 am #11360battered_and_bruisedMemberYes, yes I can make judgement. I check this thing on a daily basis and stay in contact with a lot of people who are heavily involved in the club. Plus I was there for the first year of the Thunder and thought on the whole it was well run for the first year along side the DIHA. The other reason is that this is a public forum and I can make any statement I want on this issue no matter how out of left field they are.
…whether people pay attention to what I have to say is another matter lol.
Shut up Vince, I know what you are going to say!!!
June 3, 2009 at 2:03 am #11361TomMemberCan you justify the comments you made? Saying that the Thunder is the worst thing to happen to the club and that we don’t stand a chance this year. Every one in the team is confident we can win and do better than last year. You sound jealous that your not in the team and you think you are better than some player that are and are making ridicolus comments because of that. prehaps you should of trialed.
June 3, 2009 at 2:11 am #11362vpatrolMemberI’m in contact with some former Thunder team mates constantly, I was there last weekend, I was volunteering for the worlds. I was even a member of the Thunder who played DIHL last year. I play for the opposition now and I still took offence to what you said. I’m sure a lot of the current Thunder players feel the same way. I want a strong team in Dunedin and your comments injure that goal and spread false/negative information.
