This is apparently a top secret skating spot near Dunedin. Anyone know where it is?

The file name is mah_bridge.jpg. Perhaps it is at Maheno?

I can’t see the image well enough. Is that ice, or digital trickery?

    No, it’s definitely ice.

The photo was apparently taken in 2006. It was also frozen in 2007, but it hasn’t been skatable yet in 2008.

It does look like a rail bridge.

Where did you get the photo from?

Ask that person..or are you just teasing us with your knowledge of a secret skating spot?

There’s not a chance it’s part of the Manuherkia River is there? Pretty unlikely, but it does flow near the rail trail

I was wondering how long it would take someone to ask that <img decoding=” title=”Tongue” /> But no, I have no idea where it is. It was sent to Clive Murphie with a message saying it is of a secret skating spot near Dunedin, then Clive forwarded it to me asking if I knew where it was (which I don’t), hence the question.

It won’t be the Manuherikia (sp?). That river moves too fast to freeze over well enough for skating purposes.
